DIY plastic bottle tubes

Craftsmen have come up with a lot of options for using plastic bottles from the simplest decorative to practical, able to make life easier and save from unnecessary expenses. The simplest method of manufacturing such tubes requires the presence of a steel wire, nail or screw, around which you can wrap it, a hair dryer, pliers and the actual tape width centimeter. To make a spiral of steel wire, you need to choose the thickness of the nail. If you need a spiral with a diameter of 3.5 mm, the nail, respectively, should be 90 mm, if 3 mm, then 70 mm. A caliper will help in the measurements here.

The mechanism is simple - you need to cut off the edge of the tape, put it into a spiral, which at that time is clamped with pliers, hold this whole structure over a hairdryer, giving out an air flow of about 600 degrees. In this case, the speed may be second, there will be plenty of it. As you might guess, the tube will form due to softening of the tape and bending inside the spiral as it is pulled. In terms of length, there are no restrictions.

The following method is built on the same principle, only boiling water is used as a heating element. In this case, do not be afraid to burn your hands, you can use a special clip to pull the tape. At the exit of boiling water, the tube cools quite quickly and becomes stiff.

For the third method, as in the first case, you will need a building hair dryer, as well as a wooden block, self-tapping screws and a small board made of chipboard. The bar must be attached to it with self-tapping screws, drill a hole with a diameter of 2.8 mm in it. Accordingly, the tape in this case should be used with a width of 7 mm. In order for the tape to turn into a tube, it is enough to heat it with a building hair dryer and pull it on the opposite side of the bar.

Many may wonder how to use the considerable footage of such a tube. And the options are actually a lot. If the output turned out to be serious volumes, from them you can easily weave a netting net, working with it is more pleasant than with metal, plus this method saves money on buying a metal mesh. From such a plastic tube, an excellent drip irrigation is obtained, which will not decompose in the soil for a long time. Given that the material scatters perfectly, you can endlessly fantasize and come up with unusual chandeliers and shades for fixtures, candlesticks and the like. The main thing is to consider the type of light bulb that will be used. If it is an incandescent lamp, it must be ensured that the tube structure does not melt.
