For large rooms, solid fuel boilers are used as heating. But you can make a battery of gas cylinders yourself, capable of heating an area of up to 70 square meters.
Balloon preparation
The most important thing is to work carefully with the cylinders, make sure that the gas is over and only after doing the preparation. To start, the cranes are unscrewed using an adjustable wrench. To facilitate the work on the key, you can fit a metal tube. Thus, a powerful lever is obtained.
If the valve has become attached to the cylinder, the following actions are performed: the valve is clamped in a vice, two holes are drilled opposite each other at the opposite end, into which the bolts are inserted. A segment of a steel chain is clamped between them, and construction scrap is started for it. Thus the tap is unscrewed from the cylinder.
At the bottom of the cylinders is gasoline - a combustible substance that spills out. Further, the neck is cut off from all copies, and the bottom is removed from two more. For process safety, water is poured into the cylinders first. The presence of a gasoline film on top of the water is always checked. To do this, paper is pushed into the neck and set on fire. If the wet sheet burns, water needs to be changed.
The cylinder cover is cut symmetrically. To do this, take a wire to which a white marker is attached. The other end is fixed at the top, and an impromptu compass is obtained. The neckline is cut off along the line with a grinder, the bottom is removed from two cylinders along the lower weld.
Assembly process
Smooth reinforcement of 12 mm is welded to the necks in a circle. For the locking mechanism, a 15 by 15 mm square profile is taken, 32 cm long, a through hole is drilled in it in the middle. On the one hand, an M8 bolt is carefully welded, on the other hand, a massive steel loop.
The finished part is bolted to the cut off cylinder lid in the hole from the former crane. Next, the same square profile is taken; cuts are made at it at a distance of 10 and 19 cm from the edge. The first incision does not go all the way, along which the profile bends to resistance. According to the second mark, the workpiece is cut off.
On the bend, the notch is welded, on a larger segment, a steel ball is welded, on the smaller, a bar is welded at an angle of 45 degrees. The angle is directed in the opposite direction from the bend.
A through hole is made on the side of the bar. The workpiece is put on a welded bolt on the lid. From the other end, a metprofile with a length of 8 cm is welded onto the loop and cylinder. For fixation, two rounds are welded to the cylinder: one in parallel, the other perpendicularly. The door is ready.
Next, an ash pan is cut out by a grinder. To do this, three lines are drawn: the central goes from the upper seam to the bottom, the other two are the same length, but with an indent of 7 cm. Cut strips of metal are welded at an angle of 90 degrees. The bottom of the ash pan and sidewalls are welded from sheet metal.
Next, grates are made, cylinders are connected by welding, a hole for the chimney is cut from the far side of the pipe. Two cameras are connected using a 15 cm spacer. An additional hole is made for the chimney pipe.
On the sides of the cylinders are legs welded from a large metal profile. A metal profile for fences, galvanized, is attached to the sidewalls. The wood-burning heating battery is ready.
