Do-it-yourself rug from T-shirts

How to make a rug out of unnecessary t-shirts? The order of actions:

1. In order to have something to work with, you must first prepare the "yarn" from T-shirts. It should be noted 5 cm from the bottom of the t-shirt with soap or chalk. At the same time, 15 cm on the sides of the product remain. After that, the T-shirt is cut according to the previously marked lines. Then the T-shirt is turned over, and the remaining 15 cm are cut diagonally. Thus, it is possible to get a thread that has no end.

2. When the “yarn” is ready, all that remains is to weave a rug from it. For this, an ordinary pigtail is woven from three threads of different colors. At the beginning of this pigtail, you must first make a strong knot. Thus, a braid of the desired length is woven. It all depends on what size the mat is planned to be made. As the yarn finishes, a new thread is tied, and work continues in a similar fashion.

3. The pigtail has already turned out to be of sufficient length, so the time has come to complete the work. It is necessary to turn the resulting product in a circle. To make it look like a factory one, and holes do not form inside, it is worth making some efforts while twisting the braid. It should be tightly twisted together.

4. The mat is almost ready, it remains only to sew a twisted braid with the help of threads. In this case, you can act at your discretion. If there is a desire or not cars, you can sew the braid manually. Well, in that case, if you want to quickly finish the job and see, finally, how the product will turn out, you should use a sewing machine.
