First of all, you need to imagine what kind of flowerbed I would like to see in my yard and think about its shape, location and, of course, content. Depending on what flowers you want to see on your flower bed, its location also depends, since flowers need light. Remember that the flowerbed should be well visible from all sides, in a word, it should be installed in a visible place.
Flowerbed shape
As for the form. Naturally, the shape of the flowerbed depends on its location. For example, if you want to plant a tree in the flower garden, then the ring view will be an excellent solution in choosing its shape. If you have chosen a lawn for installation of a flower garden, then the round island form will be the best option. For a special accent of the terrace, an oval or curved flowerbed is suitable for you.
Flower garden construction
After choosing the shape and place, you need to remove all rubbish (stones, grass) from the site. After that, you need to choose the material for the manufacture of flower beds.
Remember that it is not necessary to make a flower bed from a new brick, and by choosing the old material, you will save your money. But brick is not the only thing that is needed during construction. Also needed: sand, shovel, trowel, fishing line, gravel, sticks, cement and utensils for kneading. You can also take beautiful stones, wood elements and shells.
When all preparations are completed, you need to mark. To do this, draw the borders of the flower beds on the ground, drive in sticks and pull the fishing line. Then, on the plotted borders, you need to dig a moat, the depth of which should be about 30 cm.
If necessary (if you want to make high walls of the flowerbed) you need to dig a ditch deeper. Then it is necessary to fill the sand at the bottom of the ditch so that the thickness at the bottom is more than 5 cm, then pour crushed stone, then sand again.
After that you can start laying bricks. But do not forget that the first two layers of bricks are laid without cement. This is necessary so that with excess water, the roots of the plants do not begin to rot. After the construction of the flower garden, you need to leave it for four or five days to dry.
After the specified period, you can fill the flower bed with soil and start planting flowers. Here let your imagination run wild and enjoy the process!
