The apartment has a family of four. The kitchen has been in operation for several years, and at some point the issue of repairing this room became acute.
Before starting the restructuring of the kitchen, I studied a lot of magazines, videos and photos with various options for interiors. The main task that was set during the repair of the premises was to create a harmonious bright space. The kitchen should be practical, functional, easy to clean and comfortable.
Initially decided on the color of the room. Unconditionally, white was chosen as the main tone. Despite the common belief that light surfaces become dirty quickly, cleaning is not a problem. Black glossy facades are in perfect harmony with built-in black appliances.
All repairs were carried out by the landlord independently. Draft work was carried out on their own, a design project was created, and a kitchen set was assembled. For plastering walls and laying tiles, a professional was invited, specialists made a stretch ceiling.
From the finished cement-sand mixture created a screed on the floor with a thickness of 5 cm. The outer wall was sewn up with drywall. The battery was closed with a special grill with horizontal stripes. Using drywall, gas and ventilation pipes, an exhaust hood were also hidden.
At this stage of the repair work, electrical wiring was done, and places for installing sockets and switches were determined. Since the working wall of the kitchen is a supporting one, it was necessary to spend time creating channels for laying the cable.
Quantity and location of outlets It was carefully thought out, the creation of open and hidden elements was planned. In the old kitchen, the family was faced with their shortage. Only six pieces are installed above the working area, so that without any problems you can turn on the kitchen devices - a mixer, coffee maker, coffee grinder, food processor and other equipment.
The lower cabinets hid another block of 10 outlets that are designed for household appliances and appliances - refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, gas panel, TV. There are still spare sockets that may come in handy in the future.
Preparatory work took a lot of money. Plaster and putty, a gas pipe counter were purchased. Paid conducting electrical wiring, installing a gas meter, moving the crane, services of the master. The floors are laminate. The choice in favor of this material is due to the fact that it is inexpensive, easy to install, and lasts a long time. In addition, the laminate is reminiscent of natural wood in texture, it looks very impressive.
The apron above the working surface is lined with ceramic tiles of natural colors. It is easy to confuse it with wallpaper, it looks cozy at home. Convenience is that on a tile leaks and drops of fat are not visible. Yes, and clean it quite easily.
The walls are painted with white facade paint, which is easy to clean. This is an important quality for placing a kitchen. The walls near the dining area are covered with washable wallpaper of soft coffee color, which perfectly match the overall color scheme of the room. Wallpaper, paint and supplies were purchased from the local construction market.
The most expensive items of expenditure are the purchase of household appliances and furniture. The kitchen set was going on its own, which allowed to save a little. On the countertop and accessories, they decided not to save, purchased branded materials.
The corner cabinet at the bottom of the headset contains a sink. The upper part without inversion, the cabinets are hung in one line. This made it possible to free the wall on the side under the TV, an excellent overview from anywhere in the kitchen. Convenient shelves for trifles took the place between the refrigerator and the wall.
Built-in equipment purchased from the Belarusian manufacturer Hephaestus. Hood integrated in the upper cupboard. The dishwasher, hob and oven are located in the lower tier.
The general light is given by the ceiling lamp. Lighting was arranged above the working area, two sconces were hung on the wall near the dining table. All lighting fixtures were bought on the market.
A white glossy table was set up in the dining area; the purchase of chairs is planned. While old stools are used.
They bought a large white fridge with a freezer in the new kitchen. The old unit, unfortunately, did not survive the last repair and broke.
The overall interior of the kitchen turned out to be calm, the predominance of light and beige shades made it possible to get a cozy corner where you can spend time with your family. If desired, the design can be diluted with bright colors: hang colored curtains or put colorful napkins on the table.
