Often after repair, the question arises, where to put the old bath. It’s a pity to throw it away, you can hand it over to the scrap metal collection point, but the benefits compared to the delivery work are cheap. But the bath is quite possible to give a second life, especially in the country or garden. Depending on your imagination, you can turn it into a flower bed, an alpine hill, make it a pond or a pool for children, barbecue, stove, fireplace and even do-it-yourself furniture. Watering can

Garden plants do not like pouring cold water from a well, well or water supply. Therefore, it is preheated. By placing the bath in a sunny place, you can easily cope with this task.

The disadvantage of this decision will be some unaesthetic. White color does not look very organic against the background of manicured beds. You can hide this capacity behind the outbuildings, but it is better to get creative, for example, turning it into a cow. To do this, you can paint the bath with black spots, attach an udder from a rubber glove and draw a head on the plywood. A good mood will be provided to everyone, including your neighbors.

Pond

Perhaps you have long dreamed of building a small pond in the garden, but, having calculated what is necessary for the construction, you postponed the dream for later. After all, it is necessary to make good waterproofing, reinforce the walls, and strengthen them with concrete.

All this will not be needed if you turn your old bath into a reservoir. You can not even drain water from such a pond for the winter. You just need to lower a few plastic bottles into it, pouring a little sand into them so that they can swim in a semi-submerged position. Then the ice formed will compress them, and not tear the walls of the bath.

On the banks of the reservoir you can plant hosta, bluebells, frankincense, ferns, iris or loosestrife. If you decide to grow water lilies or arrowheads in the pond, then pour some sand and silt at the bottom. Of course, if there is where to pick them up for the winter. In this case, your reservoir will not become a hospital for mosquitoes, and the fish will be full even without your participation.

It is better to take water for the pond from a natural reservoir or add at least a couple of buckets from a lake or river. To create a more complete ecosystem, snails are also needed - then you do not have to regularly clean the walls. So that the bottom and banks are not striking in their unnatural whiteness, they will have to be painted.

Outside, the pond can be laid out with stones, decorated with bird figures. The only problem with such a pond is that hedgehogs often get into it and cannot get out due to slippery walls. This problem can be solved if stones are poured from one edge flush with the edges.

Children's swimming pool

If you bought inflatable pools for children, then you know that they are difficult to wash, and besides, they are short-lived. An unnecessary bath will do much better for this. Bury it by doing the drainage as described above and your children will be happy. Just do not forget to change the water on time.

Alpine hill

A jacuzzi is great for this, but an ordinary bathtub will do. Paint it, and after drying the paint, cover it with soil, decorate with stones and plant your favorite flowers or decorative greens.

Important! If the freeze is expected to be serious, then it is worth insulating the container on the sides with straw mats so that the metal does not become a conductor of cold. Lay branches, dry grass or straw under it, then the roots of the plants will feel comfortable.

Armchair or sofa for summer residence
