During the decoration of the walls with tiles, the problem of laying tiles in the corners often appears. This is even more important for the bathroom, since it is here that these areas are an obligatory attribute of the interior. To make an even angle, various methods are used. Certain ones will require some skills and a special tool, some even novice masters can successfully implement them.

There are several options for connecting tiles:
- Perpendicular connection. The easiest way to solve the problem is to connect directly. In this case, the tile is laid at 90 degrees, that is, one slice remains open, and the second is masked under the upper element. So you can close any angle with minimal labor. If tile trim is required, it is best to install the cut from the bottom. The disadvantage of this method is the seam when connecting. Subsequently, it is masked with grout, but it is still visible on the surface.
- Trims. The most popular option, probably, is the installation of special elements - trims. This is a plastic profile that forms the necessary focus. For external corners, an L-shaped installation is used. The inner corner has the shape of an arc. Narrow convex trims are sometimes used.
- Undercutting. The basis of this method is trimming the edge of the plate. It is performed so that fragments can be connected to each other at 45 degrees.

Get rid of the joints: step by step
Before laying the tile, you need to make its layout. The quality of the work done depends on how correctly this process is performed. Before the layout, measurements are taken of the room, then they perform a visual inspection, evaluating the surface of the walls where the tile will be glued.
If required, then additionally prepare the surface. During the layout, you need to inspect all the walls to select the installation method. If the corner is invisible due to furniture, then the installation option in this place will be the easiest.
In the inner corners
The simple connection of two rows of tiles has many advantages. To begin with, the angle made this way looks as organic as possible, especially in small bathrooms. Also, this installation option will not require additional elements that significantly increase the cost of lining.
Naturally, this method has disadvantages. This is a building experience, as the main condition, and a high probability of a crack at the junction due to the tendency of ceramics to narrow and increase. Moreover, this problem is relevant during the decoration of drywall, but on brick surfaces this practically does not occur.

Prevention of cracking is:
- silicone joint treatment;
- correct joints calculation.
Attention! The lining of the inner corner without installing the patch angle is unacceptable. As a result of this masonry, a black gap will appear on the seam. You can get rid of it only with the help of silicone. But to choose it exactly in color is almost impossible.
In the outer corners
A decorative trim is installed when one of the walls in the bathroom is fully tiled. After the sealant is applied in height with a construction gun. The trim part is superimposed on the already glued tile, and the groove of the element is freely located on the enclosing wall.

Subsequently, ceramics are laid on this wall, starting from the bottom, and the edge of the tile is inserted into the groove of the trim. The day after completion of work, the joint between the ceramic and the corner is overwritten. Trim is also installed in joints that are in the horizontal plane.
Laying tiles yourself is not an easy task, but it is feasible even for beginners. The basic requirement is a perfectly flat surface and proper layout.
