The device of the gas stove: what it consists of, the device of the burner and oven

There are very many gas stoves in many apartments and private houses, even where gas has not been supplied, cylinders are used. The popularity of the device is due to the simplicity and low cost of its operation. And although it is not difficult to use the stove, many often do not know its structure and principle of operation. This article is intended for those interested in these issues.

how is the stoveA modern device combines several systems that work in conjunction with each other. The following systems are combined in the stove:

  • basic, including parts directly related to gas supply and combustion: piping, shut-off valves, burners and burners;
  • the electrical part, which allows you to use the device more comfortably, includes electric ignition, backlight, and also in some models the power supply of the grill;
  • a frame made, as a rule, of stainless steel and coated with heat-resistant and impact-resistant enamel.

Gas burner device

burner deviceA burner and a burner are two different things, although many often unknowingly confuse them. The burner is located in the stove, under the hob, while the burners are located in the upper part. They are removed and cleaned during washing, trying to prevent moisture from entering the dividers. Under the burner is the burner body with nozzle. From it, gas enters the divider, where it is mixed with air. The regulator controls the gas supply from the burner - from the weakest (extreme left position) to the maximum (extreme right position of the regulator).

Depending on whether natural or bottled gas is used, interchangeable nozzle sets for burners are installed. It is not recommended to independently change the nozzles and adjust the pressure; it is better to entrust this matter to a specialist.

Three types of burners are used:

  • kinetic;
  • diffusion;
  • mixed.

The names come from the principle of action: in diffusion burners, the gas naturally mixes with air after the divider bell has passed. In the oven, this is the option used. In diffusion-type burners, gas flows under pressure, due to which air is sucked in, and the ready-made mixture enters the burner. Modern gas stoves are equipped with mixed-type burners, in which part of the air enters from the inside of the stove, and part - enters the burner from the kitchen.

Gas control

gas controlThe combustion process is controlled by a thermocouple that shuts off the gas if one of the burners goes out. For the operation of the "Gas Control" system, the presence of power supply is not necessary, the operation occurs independently of it.

In the process, the thermocouple is heated, the shutter controlled by the electromagnetic valve is in the open position. In case of flame extinction as a result of boiling water and splashing it on the burner, the effect of the cooled thermocouple on the valve ceases, and the shutter closes.

Electric ignition

Often, modern stoves are equipped with an electric ignition system. It includes glow plugs that are powered by the mains and are located next to the burners. Power is supplied to them by pressing a button. If there is no voltage in the network - it does not matter. They calmly open the gas supply valve to the burner, and use the good old matches.

Oven work

plate diagramModern ovens are equipped with a large-diameter circle burner and gas control. Often produced oven options with electric ignition, grill, convection system, three-layer glass for high-quality thermal insulation and other bells and whistles. Their principle of operation is the same as in a simple old-style oven, with burners along the side walls - there is a simultaneous heating cooked food located on grid trays on several sides to ensure that it is even baking.

The figure below shows a classic version of a gas stove, on which the above elements are reflected, it is not difficult to understand their interaction - everything is quite intelligible.
