Vertical objects are much easier to attach to a secluded corner. And in general, they are more convenient to wield.

If you really want to place a TV somewhere, you will have to take a closer look at the hinged options. It is unlikely that in a small apartment there is a lot of free space for a standing model.

As for the computer, a laptop is the best solution. It is easy to move it from place to place, and most of the modern models are quite compact. However, if laptops are not at all cute, you should take a look at monoblocks. Not a bad compromise between desktop and laptop.
