Technique "decoupage" in the manufacture of a bottle in a nautical style

A bottle with your favorite drink will be a good gift for any holiday. But in order for the gift to look brighter and more beautiful, it needs to be decorated. The decor technique "decoupage" will come to the rescue. This technique will allow you to decorate the bottle in an individual manner. In this case, we will decorate the bottle in a marine theme. To decorate the bottle you will need materials:

1. Bottle (empty or with a drink).
2. Acetone and cotton pad.
3. Printout.
4. PVA glue.
5. Synthetic brush.
6. Decorative items (shells, beads, chain, items made of salt dough, rice, thuja twigs).
7. Putty.
8. Palette knife.
9. Acrylic paints in blue, black, gold colors.
10. Acrylic lacquer.

1. First you need to prepare the glass of the bottle for work. To do this, we clean the surface of the bottle from the labels and degrease it with acetone.

1. Next, we prepare a printout. Crop the picture to fit the bottle.

1. We glue the picture on the front side of the bottle.

1. We attach a chain on the back of the bottle. We fix it on a thin layer of putty.

1. We start decorating the glass around the printout. To do this, apply a putty with a palette knife so that it goes a little into the printout. Put thuja twigs on the side edges of the bottle on the putty.

1. We attach shells of different sizes, beads and elements made of salt dough near the branches.

1. Among the small decorations, you can emphasize in the form of a large volumetric element. In this case, a salt dough turtle. The turtle needs to be glued to a piece of gauze. So the texture of the decor will look more interesting.

1. All decorative elements must be attached next to each other. Fill the empty space between the decor with rice grains.

1. The back of the bottle will be decorated with decorative elements, and the front side, for the most part, will be decorated with a printout.

1. When the putty is dry, you can start painting the bottle. Using a sponge, paint the decor with black paint.

1. Then we apply blue liquid acrylic paint.

1. When the paint is dry, gently apply gold paint with your finger. We select with gold only the volumetric elements of the decor.

1. Finally, cover the bottle with acrylic varnish in several layers.
