Homemade pool for a penny

In our century, when every family is catastrophically short of money, we have to save literally on everything we can. Now we will talk about summer residents, who at one time managed to acquire a suburban area, build a country house, and now they want to acquire a pool.

What rest in the country without its own reservoir, especially if there is simply no river or lake nearby. Buying a pool is expensive, ordering it from specialists is even more expensive. But don't be upset. Today, there are several ways how to independently make a pool without spending a single penny on it, and you will have to use only improvised materials.

We use the old banner

It is known that advertising banners, the so-called stretch marks, which are located on the facades of shops, along the road, very often are simply thrown away after use. If you have such an opportunity to take an old banner somewhere, be sure to use it. Typically, such stretch marks are made of dense polyvinyl chloride. Material:

• Fat,
• Not torn
• Not subject to temperature changes.

PVC is specially designed for difficult weather conditions. After all, banners stand along the road in any weather, in any frost and heat. This is exactly what we need. In order to build a pool you will need a banner of decent size, for example, 6X9 meters.

We dig a hole in the site with our own hands, sprinkle the bottom with gravel, then sand, put our banner in the hole so that the material does not fit snugly on the bottom and on the walls of the recess. At the edges of the banner you need to secure the canvas with improvised materials. A large enough piece of material will have to be left behind the perimeter of the pool so that it does not slip inside. In fact, the artificial pond is ready. It is enough to fill it with water.

We use old pallets

This pool will not be located in a depression, but on the surface of the soil. We take the old pallets, we make the frame of the pool from them:

• Square,
• Round,
• Rectangular.

Any form. However, the surface under such a pool needs to be prepared, leveled, sprinkled with sand. On top you need to lay a dense PVC material. And from above we install the frame from the pallets of the selected form, viciously connect the elements to each other.

Inside we lay a dense film, which may have remained from construction purposes. The canvas on the sides is also tightly fixed so that the material does not slip inside. On the facade, the pool should be ennobled, for example, using old boards, another decorative improvised material that will close the pallet, making the pool outwardly attractive. Now you can pour water into the pool and use the bowl for the intended purpose.
