The quality as well as the pros and cons of a ceramic coated pan can be judged by the methods of application of the coating itself.

A ceramic coating on a metal base can be applied in the following ways:

  1. Rolling method - a coating is applied to a metal disk, then the product is stamped with a press. The coating spreads during stamping, but also deforms.
  2. Spraying on the finished model. The spraying is not deformed. With this method, the layer thickness is greater than with rolling.

Wall diameter

The size is determined by the top of the product. When choosing dishes by diameter, you should take into account the number of people in the family.

  • If there are two people in the family, then a 24 cm frying pan is enough.
  • For a family of three, 26 cm dishes are suitable.
  • The 28 cm diameter frying pan is suitable for families with four or more members.

The wall thickness of the pan must be at least 4 mm.

Bottom diameter

The main thing when choosing a product is that the bottom in the inner part is even, without bumps and depressions (excluding the choice of a grill). The outer side of the bottom can be grooved.

  • The bottom should be flat. Heat is evenly distributed over a flat surface. The food will be fried evenly over the entire surface.
  • The bottom thickness should be 4-7 mm. A frying pan with a thicker bottom will last longer. The optimum thickness for the bottom is 5 mm.
  • If you knock on the bottom of a new product, the sound will be muffled - in this case, the pan is good.
