Principle of operation

The water runs down as long as the trigger is pressed. This happens with the manual way of setting the button. In automatic mode, the liquid goes away all at once. As soon as the minimum liquid level is reached, the start valve closes.

The overflow drain at this moment is closed and the float valve is opened. The vertical crane rises to its original position when the trigger is released. Simultaneously with this, the drainage opening is closed.

The swimming element goes down as soon as the amount of liquid decreases. On the basis of which, the valve for the float will open. The drain bowl is filled. The level of liquid filling is adjusted in the tank, as soon as it is passed, the filling will stop. The valve closes at this moment, and the floating part will return to its original position.

Overflow

The mechanism is a small plastic tube located in the center of the container. Responsible for limiting the liquid in the tank, preventing it from overflowing over the top. It either rises up or falls down, and the excess is sent to the sewer pipes. A malfunction of the float valve will result in fluid leakage.

Drain fittings

The purpose of the mechanism is to drain the liquid from the container. This is done by pressing a button or lever in the tank. They, in turn, are connected with a lever, and the mechanism for draining is triggered by it.

Malfunctions

What are:

1. The float does not fit correctly.
2. The floating element mechanism does not retain water.
3. Erasing rubber gaskets, stop valve seals.
4. Damage to the water release lever.

The drain barrel mechanism is most susceptible to damage and the reasons for this are:

1. Poor quality of reinforcement elements leads to their premature aging and wear.
2. Plastic elements are of low quality and deform during operation.
3. Sharp changes in water temperatures.
4. The foreign manufacturer that supplies Russia with mechanisms does not take into account the domestic hardness of the water.

How to fix it yourself:

1. Skewed floating element does not require tools. Here, you should open the lid of the tank and try to put it in place correctly, in the drain hole. If there is a skew, the leak will be repaired. If not, correct the shut-off valve.
2. The floating element mechanism does not retain water and goes over the edge. To begin with, you need to lift the inlet valve up to the very stop. The leak must be eliminated, if this has not happened, the old mechanism of the swimming element must be dismantled and a new one must be installed. Wear and tear of the gaskets is determined by pressing the valve with your hand. When fluid comes in, you can safely change worn parts. The float can also wear out and holes can appear in it. In this case, the element is being replaced.
3. Damage to the water release lever. In this case, the rod should be replaced. Thick wire can serve temporarily.

Plumbing installation

The tank should be installed in stages. Place a self-adhesive seal on the bowl to prevent leakage. Next, the tank is placed and secured with mounting bolts. A pipe with cold water and a container is connected with a flexible hose. Then, you should collect water in a drain container and conduct a leak test.

Step by step guide:

1. A gasket is placed on the drain container.
2. It should be located on the inside of the tank, a plastic nut is screwed onto the other side.
3. Washers are put on the fastening bolts, insert them into the hole. Plastic washers are placed on the underside, and fastening is done with a nut.
4. The rubber ring should be put on the plastic nut. In the case of an old installation, do not forget to coat with sealant.
5. Wipe the bowl dry and fit the O-ring.
6. The container for the drain is placed on the platform and secured with nuts.
7. The filler valve and hose are screwed on.
8. A cover is fixed on top.

The float can be adjusted to its limit. In this case, in the presence of a brass lever, we simply bend it to the level that we need. The container has filling boundaries.

Let's say the lever is plastic. Then, you need to find a fixing screw for adjusting the lever or a ratchet with which you can change the fixation of the floating ball.
