Design has its own rules. Of course, the choice of the style of your apartment or house is solely your decision, but still you should listen to the advice of specialists. This will avoid the mistakes that homeowners invariably make over the course of time during repairs.
So, 5 antitrends in design this year
1. Plasterboard ceilings of complex shapes, similar to plasterboard "cakes" hanging from the ceiling. Once upon a time, such ceilings were delighted and considered expensive. Now the “boom” has long passed, and the understanding has come that such ceilings greatly reduce space and look not so beautiful and original.
The use of plasterboard ceilings can be justified from a technical point of view (communications pass above) or as a cheaper option. But you should not build a "city" on the ceiling of your own free will.

2. Various vertical drywall constructions. Drywall should be used as intended - as a building material. Some begin to build furniture from it, visually cheapening the design. This also includes the construction of all kinds of drywall arches, which are not always appropriate, especially in small standard apartments.

3. Bright colors (red, yellow, green). Using lots of simple vibrant colors is definitely not the trend of this year. Although, to be honest, it is difficult to imagine a situation where an abundance of brightness would be appropriate. You should always be extremely careful with them.

4. Photowall-paper. The standard murals that we are used to and which most shops offer can ruin the look of the room. If you really want to depict something on the wall, you will have to invest in it. Good murals (more precisely, drawings on the wall) are expensive. You may even have to hire an artist and coordinate the sketch for these purposes. But in any case, it will look much better than ordinary photo wallpaper. If there is no money, it is better to abandon this venture.

5. One wallpaper for the whole room. Now this mod is also gradually becoming a thing of the past. A room with one accent wall looks much more interesting. Wallpaper is often sold in sets, combined with each other, and they can be combined - one wall to cover one color, and the other - the other. Believe me, this practice is much less "weighting" the interior (if we are talking about dark colors).
