During power surges, all household appliances in the house fail, most appliances remain operational, but some things can break down for good. This happens especially often if the jumps are constant. To avoid this phenomenon, it is recommended to connect a voltage relay in the apartment meter.

What is the advantage
The voltage control relays are ahead of the classical stabilizers in several ways:
- The relay has a small size, allowing you to install it in the apartment shield. A stabilizer will need a separate place, and its installation process is more voluminous;
- The relay responds faster to jumps than the stabilizer. It reacts in the shortest possible time by turning off the power;
- Stabilizers are expensive.

How to install
To a single-phase network, the relay is mounted on a special din-rail. For installation, you will need a direct voltage relay, din rail, two self-tapping screws, a section of wire with a cross section of 4 or 6 mm. On the input panel, the first thing to do is turn off the electricity. Closer to the plugs on two self-tapping screws, a rail is attached.

Next, the relay is mounted so that its housing is located in close proximity to the opening circuit breaker.
Using a screwdriver with an indication, it is necessary to calculate the phase and zero on the machine. Then the phase wire is cut in the middle so that both ends can be connected to a voltage relay. The wire coming from the machine and cut off by the end is connected to the terminal labeled IN.
The remnants of the cut conductor are connected to the OUT terminal. It turns out that the current should not flow directly from the input on the floor to the wiring of the apartment, but through the voltage relay. Next, a wire of a suitable cross section is selected to connect the N terminal in the distribution panel to the zero bus.
After all connection work, check the quality of the joints. If everything is in order, then the introductory machine is supplied with power and the system is checked.

There is a more simplified version of the voltage relay, which is connected and acts on a single outlet. In appearance, such devices resemble tees that have a dial with a designated voltage. Thus, at first the relay is connected to the socket, and then the plug from the electrical device is turned on.
