The hardest thing to save in your home is sewage. Electricity and water consumption can be reduced, heating can be reduced, but drains should be in any case. How can you save money and what kind of sewage system to make in your home?
The cheapest option will be the equipment of a classic septic tank. In this case, a cesspool can become a place for water purification; first, a layer of sand with a thickness of 20 cm can be laid in it, and then sprinkled with a layer of crushed stone with a thickness of 30 cm.

How to make a cheap septic tank
The total volume of the septic tank should be about two cubic meters. Since the structure should be underground, it is necessary to equip its competent insulation. Reinforced concrete structures, foundation pits and trenches are too expensive.
For a cheap septic tank, it is necessary to use a eurocube, which consists of polyethylene shrouded in a metal grate. The whole structure is placed on a metal pallet.

Examples of arrangement
A working sewage system can be created with the help of eurocubes with your own hands for several thousand rubles. To do this, you need two connected Eurocubes, anchor cables and insulation from above.
To begin with, holes for pipelines are marked and cut out. An overflow pipe can be made with a diameter of 5 cm. The difference in hole levels of each cube is about 15 cm. The second cube is set 25 cm lower so that the entire capacity is used.

The first septic tank is additionally equipped with a vertical pipe of 110 mm, which is closed by a plug with an opening from above. This design will serve to clean the drain tee and protect against overflow.
The septic tank is classically ventilated - from the drainage well through the drain pipes to the riser and ventilation ducts located above the roof. As anchors, either a reinforced concrete weighting agent is used, to which septic tanks are attached, or stop valves knocking out on the sides.

Warming is carried out with the help of old slate, boards or backfilling of sand. The pit is overlapped by polystyrene foam with a thickness of 5 to 10 cm.
To ensure convenient and quick cleaning, it is advisable to equip polystyrene foam with hatches on locks. The latter are needed to protect against children.

Why a cesspool is not a budget option
Digging a hole is only half the battle, the real costs begin at the cleaning stage. Due to the abundance of equipment working with water, the cesspool quickly loses its filtering ability. In this case, you have to call a sewage truck, whose services are not cheap. Thus, rapid pollution leads to a constant call of specialists. The payback of the pit is negligible.
