Why you should not install a toilet on a tile

All plumber masters must know when to install the toilet - before or after laying the tiles. In theory, as in practice, both options are acceptable. It all depends on the installation method and other communications that go to the floor. And yet, some do not like to install a toilet on a tile, what is the reason?

Why is it better not to install the toilet on the tile

Installing a toilet on a tile is fraught with some difficulties. The first of them is that during installation, the tile can be severely damaged. In the places where the toilet is attached, the tiles often crack or crack. Particularly severe defects result from inaccurate installation.

The second big disadvantage of this installation method is that the toilet during operation can stagger and stand unstable. But this is corrected with sealants or other sealants.

Installing the toilet before laying the tiles

It is a simpler way to directly mount the toilet, since at the time of rough finishing the floor has an even concrete screed under the tile. It is in concrete that it is easiest to make holes for fastenings and put the toilet itself.

But this method is also not without drawbacks:

1. Laying tiles becomes difficult around a raised toilet;

Installation after laying tiles

This option is most acceptable, because for modern plumbing, special tools and gaskets have been invented to make the toilet stand on the tile as evenly as possible. For drilling holes there are tools that do not crumble tiles. Rigid fixation of the toilet provide adhesives-sealants.

But this option has its unpleasant features. If there are any communications in the thickness of the floor under the toilet: wires, warm floor, etc., you will have to correctly plan a place for the toilet and make markings for the holes for drilling. This is important to prevent other troubles associated with fixing expensive communications.
