Warm floor more often complements the main heating system, so the owners have a question in which rooms it is needed and where it does not make sense. Basically, many do not want to overpay the extra money for empty heating. Heated floor is mounted in all rooms in the event that it is the only source of heating in the house.

Installation depends on needs
There are floor coverings, which are very unpleasant to step with bare feet, since the floor in these places is very cold. For many, this becomes an argument for installing a warm system. These include the bathroom, where tile is laid. And there, warm floors are really needed, as they prevent increased dampness and make the coating pleasant to touch. Nobody wants to step on a cold tile after a hot shower.

Installation is also carried out in rooms where carpets cannot be laid for any reason. A living room, a nursery and a study are suitable for such premises. Are there places in which it makes no sense to make a warm floor?

The first place where a warm floor is absolutely not needed is a pantry or a storage room. Usually it occupies a small area, and it is rarely visited. Therefore, the installation of the floor there does not make sense.

The second place, oddly enough, will be the bedroom, if it is intended only for sleep. The fact is that at night, the human body needs a reduced temperature, as well as humidified air. Underfloor heating completely contradicts these principles. And in the daytime the bedroom is not in demand. It is much better to lay warm and fluffy rugs at your feet in this room.

It makes no sense to install a warm floor in the hallway, since this is a passageway. Someone argues its installation by the fact that the shoes dry faster and the dirt does not spread, but it’s cheaper and easier to buy a closed chest of drawers. Also, in the place of changing shoes, shoes or sneakers, you can lay a rubber mat with insulation.

It also does not always make sense to install the floor on the upper floors in a private house, since with well-warmed rooms below, warm air will inevitably rise. And in this case, a warm floor will be very expensive.
