Not reported insulation

Because of this, the formation of condensate is moving deeper, the walls are damp. And in order to avoid this with internal insulation, it is necessary to install an additional ventilation system.

For each type of insulation there is a clear regulation on its fastening to the walls, but often inexperienced owners use the wrong consumables at all. Use cheap glue, reinforce the mesh on dry polystyrene foam, do not buy dowels.

Do not insulate the basement

Many undeservedly forget about the basement, believing that it does not leave a lot of heat. This opinion is erroneous, because in the absence of insulation, cold will seep through it. The basement is insulated along with the facade of the house.

Inaccurate installation of insulation

Some believe that the main thing is simply to put a heater, and the fact that there are gaps between it is nothing to worry about. It is precisely because of such omissions in laying that the cold enters the house. Insulation blocks must be adjacent to each other closely, without holes and gaps, otherwise the work is considered useless.

Before undertaking wall insulation, they must be carefully prepared. They are primed with suitable compounds, cleaned of debris, and make the surface perfectly smooth.

Amateurs take on the job

If there is a temptation to do warming at home without experience and preparation, then the idea is best abandoned. Modern materials and thermal insulation technologies require the right knowledge and skills that appear during many years of practice. It’s better to go bankrupt once on specialists than to eliminate heat “leaks” every year.
