Despite the fact that installing a toilet is not the most difficult task, there are some points that should not be forgotten:

1. If, when carrying out repairs in the toilet room, it was necessary to change the floor height, then this difference can be removed with an ordinary corrugation and a water hose. If the height difference is too large, then more professional skills are needed.

2. In case of existing unevenness on the floor, the best option to secure the toilet is to use silicone. Wooden wedges will help, but here too you will need a sealant, since it will be able to distribute the weight of the structure.
3. If the pipes go through the floor and not through the wall, a corrugation should be used.

We collect and install the tank correctly

Oddly enough it sounds, but installing a new tank is much easier and faster than removing the old one. Here and the work is dry, everything around is clean, there is no plaque or sediment. And to create is much more pleasant than to destroy.

For work you will need:

• adjustable and open-end wrenches;
• special key;
• screwdriver and gloves.

Procedure:

1. We unscrew the fastening screws from the cistern to the toilet shelf.
2. We screw a metal washer onto the screw.
3. We put the centering washer on top of this washer until they touch.
4. Insert the screw into the hole for the fastener.
5. We put on a rubber gasket, washer and nut on the screw.
6. We tighten the nut.
7. The second fastener is installed in the same way.
8. Install the screw from the drain valve into the hole in the tank.
9. Pressing down on the tank, we pull the drain valve.
10. We screw the nut onto the screw.
11. We tighten it to the limit.
12. Remove the layer of protection from the O-ring.
13. We glue the ring to the tank.
14. It is necessary to prepare the valve for installation: a washer and a gasket are put on it.
15. We install a valve in a special hole.
16. We fix it.
17. We tighten the nut - the tank is now completely ready for installation on the shelf.
18. We thread the screws into the holes in the shelf.
19. We put a rubber gasket, washer and nut on the screw.
20. We fix the nut.
21. We put the lid on the tank.
22. Install the release button in its place.

We mount a toilet with an installed cistern

We insert the corrugation inside the sewer pipe, check if it is tight. In most cases, the usual corrugation is sufficient. If the pipe is made of cast iron, then a 110 mm cuff will be needed.

Silicone sealant is applied to the corrugation, after which the pipe is cleaned of contamination and the corrugation is inserted into it.

Having moved the toilet bowl to the pipe, we check that the branch pipe and outlet are level. Usually they coincide, but if this is not the case, and the difference is great, you need to use the corrugation.

We put the device in the place prepared for it and put on the cuff for release.

Using the level, we check the evenness of the seating of the tank. We make notes where you will need to drill holes for fasteners.

It is also better to check the toilet for the accuracy of the installation. Observing accuracy, you need to mark the places for the holes on the floor.

The base of the toilet is outlined with a marker. Such accuracy will be useful when the entire preparatory stage has been passed and the time for installation has come.

Moving the device aside, we drill according to the hole marks. First you need to drill them into the wall. Dowels are installed in the holes.

Further, according to the marks, holes are made in the floor.

Ceramic tiles are difficult to drill: this requires a hammer drill and a stone drill. Passing the tile, you do not need to press hard on the perforator, and then you can increase the pressure. If the floor is not made of wood, then dowels are placed in the holes.

Before installing the toilet, silicone is applied along the marked contour of the base.

We install the toilet, fix the cistern. When pulling it, you do not need to overtighten the screws.

The base is fixed to the floor. The main thing is also not to tighten the fasteners too much.

We connect to sewerage and water supply

As soon as the toilet is in place, the drain hole is covered with a sealant, and a corrugation is inserted into it. After checking for tightness, excess sealant can be removed.

Once the sealant has completely hardened, the structure can be used.

Reference! The accumulation of water near the plumbing will be a clear signal to better seal the coupling. For this, a rubber ring is used.

It should be clarified that the toilet does not live on a single sewer. The connection to the water supply system also plays an important role. After all, it is the water supply that the tank owes to the presence of water for flushing. In order for the pipe to be connected to the tank, there are water sockets.

Connecting the toilet to the water supply is the following procedure.

The first thing to do is to shut off the water supply. You need to put on a tap on the water outlet, this will allow you to simply shut off the water in the future, while leaving it supplying the rest of the apartment. Wrap a sealing tape on the thread. This will allow the connection to fit more tightly and eliminate leakage.

A hose is put on the tap to supply water to the tank. The hose itself can be in two versions: either flexible or rigid. The threads must also have a sealing strip. Then the nut is tightened.

The other side of the hose connects to the tank connection. A gasket, usually made of rubber, must be installed at the joint. This is necessary so that the tank does not leak.

At this point, all the work on the assembly, installation and connection of the toilet bowl to the sewage and water supply system can be considered completed.
