Imagine my husband's surprise when in the morning, sitting on a white friend, he felt a pleasant tickling from below ...
Having shared the story with my friends, I found out that this is not the most interesting case yet! Sometimes a completely unpleasant creature worthy of horror films can jump out of the toilet, but let's talk about everything in order.

Legendary creatures capable of fighting to the last breath in their lives, bypassing ingenious traps and surviving in extreme conditions. It turns out that they are able to move along water pipes.
Not every adult can cope with a vertical riser, but horizontally the rats move very quickly! My classmate faced this (let's call it Nastya for convenience), and this is what she told.
It was late summer evening. The family left for the village, and the woman stayed in the city because of an urgent report on work. The coffee was cooling down in the kitchen, the monitor screen was burning comfortably and called to work until morning. Nastya decided to go to the ladies' room for a minute. But, sitting down on the rim, I felt a stirring under me and heard a strange sound, similar to the grinding of a fork on a cymbal. Nastya got up, turned around... and her whole life flashed before her eyes! In the drain hole sat a skinny and wet gray rat. She squinted and bared her teeth, wiggling her mustache viciously. A black colleague emerged from the pipe behind her. The instinct of self-preservation worked instantly! The toilet lid was slammed shut with a squeal, and a friend threw a basin on top, where shampoos and creams had been swept from the weight shelves. While the Emergencies Ministry employees were driving, a friend was guarding the toilet bowl with a mop at the ready and was vigilant so that the barricade did not collapse.
In Ireland, the appearance of rats at one time became so commonplace that the newspaper called to keep the toilet lids closed!
Snakes in hot countries
They love water and are able to overcome the bends of pipes, quietly crawling from apartment to apartment. In Thailand, for example, a huge python came to visit through the toilet. It was discovered in a sad way. The Thai man returned home and went to relieve himself. To the man's surprise, he was suddenly bitten for the most tender place.! It came down to the hospital. Fortunately, it was not a rattlesnake, but the fangs left deep wounds. To get the giant out of the drain, the plumbing had to be dismantled! The poor fellow was stuck, and his further fate is unknown. The man recovered, but I'm sure he now always checks his white friend before sitting down.
A similar case was recorded in Israel, but, logically speaking, any country with a hot climate, where snakes live and breed, can present such a surprise!
With cold weather, 9 months of the year, the chances of meeting a snake are minimal. A cold-blooded creature can run away from the owner and try to escape through the sewers, but they often get stuck there and create a blockage than they frighten the neighbors.
Frogs and lizards
Now let's exhale a little and talk about those who definitely won't bite! Like snakes, they are able to move through pipes. Most often they are met by residents of the first floors, since they cannot jump vertically.
A very funny story happened with friends. They live in a private house and are accustomed to different living creatures in the neighborhood. Nearby there is a forest, a river, so hares, hedgehogs, mice were regular guests, not to mention the crowds of grasshoppers and lizards. When I came to visit, our company and a trio of black and red lizards were sitting on the veranda, warming themselves on the railing like little dragons.
My daughter turned seven years old on that memorable day. The child woke up at five in the morning in anticipation of gifts. She is a good, well-mannered girl, so the first thing she did was to wash, and the bathroom in the house is combined and is located on the first floor. The whole family woke up from the screeching! In the sink sat a huge black toad with creepy orange eyes. She climbed onto the rim and gazed indifferently at the assembled people, like a queen from a white throne. Even people hardened by rural life ran a slight shiver from a strange guest. They say that no one touched her, and the toad itself went into the garden. No one saw her again.
Australian horror stories
Australia is a mysterious continent where the number of poisonous creatures per square meter is beyond our understanding. If you are going to go there, keep in mind: there in the toilet a funnel-shaped water spider can wait for prey. A shaggy monster of dark blue or brown color can sit in water for up to 30 hours!
The spider is extremely aggressive, bites at the slightest threat, it is not recommended to even get close to it! Its poison is not dangerous for cats and rabbits, but for humans it is fatal.
