Covers made of plastic or tin - this is a superuniversal material for the manufacture of jewelry for the home, children's handicrafts and even garden furniture. In this article, we presented 120 inspirational photos and 12 cool ideas for the "deco-processing" of caps from plastic and glass bottles with prompts and master classes.

Idea 1. Stands under the dishes (+ master class)

Let's start, perhaps, with practice and tell you how to make from such usual plastic covers such nice supports for glasses.

Materials and tools:

  • Covers from under plastic bottles (for one cup holder will need 7 covers, and for making a large stand you will need 28 covers);
  • instagram viewer
  • The fabric is in two shades of pink, and also a piece of orange or coral-colored matter;
  • Any glass, jar or lid, with a diameter of about 7 mm;
  • Pencil;
  • Needle and thread;
  • Scissors.

.

Instruction:

Step 1.On the existing rags of the fabric, draw 7 circles, circling the tin cover along the contour, and then cut them out.

Step 2.Now we need to cover each cap with a cloth. This is done simply: go through large stitches along the entire circumference of the shred, put the lid in the center of the workpiece, then pull the thread and fix the resulting "cover" with a pair of seams.

Step 3.Now connect all the caps one by one to make a chain. Note that the joints should be as inconspicuous as possible. Then fold the resulting chain into a flower (in the photo) and fix it, sweeping away all the details with each other. Hurray, the first cup holder from the lids is ready!

Step 4.If you want to make a stand for a teapot, then you just need to connect 4 cup holders to each other.

Idea 2. Children's toys (+ master class)

Both plastic and tin lids from under the bottles produce cool children's toys - robots, transformers, astronauts, iron figures and animal figures.

Here is a selection of photo-ideas of hand-made articles from plastic bottle caps.

In this photo you can see the construction of the astronaut

Here are examples of crafts made of metal covers.

And now we'll tell you how to make a rattlesnake of plastic caps with your own hands, which will rattle in the literal sense of the word!

Handmade from lids from bottles

Materials and tools:

  • Covers for bottles of different sizes (in this master class, 33 caps were used to create the snake);
  • A soldering iron or awl;
  • Golden spray paint or ordinary acrylic paint (with it you work a little longer, but you can take a child painting);
  • Twine;
  • Hot glue gun;
  • 2 dark beads (for the eyes);
  • Brown permanent marker (optional).

How to make a rattlesnake of plastic caps:

Step 1.Collect the caps from the bottles of different sizes and sort them by size.

Step 2.Use an awl or soldering iron to make a hole in the center of each lid. Of course, this step of the work must be done by the parent.

Step 3.Spray the paint on the lids or paint them with a brush.

Step 4.Start threading the covers on the twine in pairs and open side to each other (see photo below) starting with pairs of large caps and ending with pairs of small caps. Finally, when all pairs of caps are strung, make a snake's face - put the smallest cap on the beginning of the workpiece (that is, the first pair of large caps). Note that the inside of the muzzle cap should be facing the outside of the first large cover. By the way, this stage can and should be done and carried out together with children.

.

Step 5.Align the snake and tighten the knots tightly at both ends. On the tail, the tip of the twine must be completely cut off and poured with hot glue (see Fig. photo below), and on the muzzle leave the tip in about, see.

.
.

Step 6.Now you need to make a snake tongue. To do this, cut two identical small and narrow strips of black felt, then cut one end of each of the strips along an acute triangle. This stage of work can be entrusted to the child.

Step 7.We glue the two parts of the tongue around the tip of the twine left on the lid-muzzle (preferably while hiding between strips of felt and a knot).

.

Step 8.Glue two bead-eyes.

Step 9.The handicraft is ready, it remains only to bring it to perfection, drawing a marker or paint small spots on the body of the snake.

Idea 3. Wall panels and paintings

Since tin and plastic covers from bottles and jars are similar to mosaic details, one can make wall panels and even completely trim the walls. The principle of making wall panels is simple: first a colored scheme of the drawing is drawn up on checkered paper, then the covers are sorted and painted in the right colors and in the right amount. Then the markings are applied to the substrate and then the lids are glued to the hot glue or superglue according to the scheme.

  • As a scheme for the panel from the covers you can use a scheme for beading, embroidery or mosaic.

Idea 4. New Year's crafts (+ master class)

From tin and plastic covers from bottles, beautiful New Year crafts are produced: wreaths, mini-fur-trees, garlands, labels for gifts and, of course, Christmas toys.

Now we propose to go to practice and make hand-made articles from lids from glass bottles in the form of such pasta.

Crafts from lids from glass bottles in the form of pasta

Materials and tools:

  • Paintballs with pastel colors (you can use paint in cans);
  • Gold cord or braid;
  • Hot glue gun;
  • Tin lids (preferably even lids, but slightly bent too, will fit);
  • Sequins.

Step 1.The first thing you need to do is split the covers into groups with an even number of plugs, and then paint each group in the desired colors.

Step 2.Once all the plugs have dried, proceed to make the first suspension. To do this, tie a small piece of cord into the loop, then glue its base to the inside of the cover and, finally, from the top, glue the second cover (see Fig. a photo). Be careful and do not put too much glue to avoid the appearance of its excess between the covers.

Step 3.This stage will require hand speed and accuracy, since hot glue very quickly freezes. Take your workpiece and apply a little glue to the junction of the lids, then quickly lower it into a jar of sparkles. Continue to cover the middle of the pasta glue and sequins gradually until you finish. Voilà! The first pasta is ready, now you have to finish the rest of the pirozhenki, and then hang them on the Christmas tree. However, these crafts are quite universal. For example, they can make a garland or magnets on the refrigerator, and they can also be packed into a box like real pasta and presented to a lover of sweets.

Idea 5. Ornaments for the garden

Adding an artifact from the lids with a stick, you will get a classy garden or park decor for a summer residence or simply decoration for a flower pot.

Crafts from the covers for the garden

From the metal covers you get excellent colors.

It is very easy to make such flowers with your own hands: the covers are clamped with pliers, then glued to the base (for example, on the lid from under the tin) and finally the staple is glued to the article (wooden skewer or other wand). If desired, a pair of petals from green lids can be glued to the stem.

Idea 7. Jewelry and Accessories

From plastic caps, upholstered with a soft but dense fabric, you can make beautiful necklaces and brooches.

Of the tin caps, beautiful earrings, medallions, necklaces, key rings, brooches and even rings are obtained.

.

Have noticed that on some photos the lids look a little different - do not have a sharp "crown but have a groove inside? Changing the covers in this way is very easy with just a rubber hammer and a solid platform. Put the lid on the platform face up, now forcefully hit the center of the lid with a hammer.

Then continue to hammer in the center of the cork, periodically turning it to bend the metal evenly. Finally flip the cork and see what happened.

The idea 8. Furniture items

Virtually any piece of furniture can be tiled with tin covers.

.

From plastic covers you can get excellent garden chairs, tables, benches.

And even from the plastic covers you can even make boxes for storing things.

The idea 9. Serving tray

Decorate a boring serving tray with covers is very simple: gently lay all the corks on the bottom, then pour them with a layer of epoxy and leave the craft dry for at least a day. The main thing here is to mix the resin with the hardener according to the manufacturer's instructions (accurate to a gram!) And fill it slowly, preventing the formation of bubbles. If you want the resin layer to be perfectly transparent, use a liquid epoxy resin for decorative, not construction works.

The idea 10. Door curtains

If you have accumulated a lot of plastic covers, you can "sew" from them a door curtain to give. The easiest way to thread on the cap caps of different sizes and colors in a chaotic order (see. a photo).

If you want the curtain to have a pattern, then you need to search the Internet for schemes for the manufacture of curtains from beads.

The idea 11. Wall Clock

Both tin and plastic covers can replace the numbers on the wall clock. All you need is a clockwork (you can remove it from the old clock), the base, 12 covers and our step-by-step instruction on how to make the clock yourself.

Here are a few photo-examples of how homemade clocks can look like from covers.

The idea 12. Frames for photos or mirrors

Beer corks are best for decoration of mirrors and photo frames.

.

If the mirror does not have a frame, then it can decorate an assortment of beer caps.

If desired, the lids can be painted and glued to the base by the outer side.
