Why is it worth doing
You can often see foil on windows and balcony glazing in the southern regions of Russia. Almost everyone knows about the purpose of such coverage - it protects the room from the penetration of direct rays of the sun, and hence from the heat. The same task is performed by bubble wrap.
American scientists have proven that the material has the functions of an air conditioner. The air that the bubbles are filled with retains heat, and it does not penetrate into the room. The existing so-called air pocket is an excellent obstacle. The effect is similar to that which gives the installation of plastic windows, consisting of two double-glazed windows.

Reference. In the US, there is a bubble wrap festival (Bubble Wrap), where everyone competes in its bursting. It is celebrated on January 25 - in Russia it is the Day of St. Tatiana, the patroness of students.
How to glue
To cover windows, you need a long piece of material. It happens that the film has two layers - then it should be dissolved at the seams. In addition, you need adhesive tape - you can get by with the usual one, but it is advisable to purchase a double-sided one.
If the adhesive tape is ordinary, it is glued to the film. Then flipped over to the back. In the middle and from the edges it is fixed with small pieces of the same adhesive tape. This results in a two-sided version.
Protection from the scorching heat is ready. It remains to hang it on the window frame. The coating will hardly be visible, as the material is an excellent conductor of light.
