Delicious, sweet, sugar tomato - the secrets of growing

We grow tomatoes for ourselves with the whole family for many years, but not always we are satisfied with their taste. It is not always the fault of the brand - tomatoes of the same variety in different years can differ in taste and behave differently in the blanks for the winter. And anyway, I know that there is nothing better than a juicy and sugar tomato grown with my own hands! And my family thinks so. I sometimes complain about my tomatoes. It all seems to me that they have a better neighbor.

.
.

But that was until the summer of last year. Last year, I decided to ask my neighbor for a couple of tomatoes. My plans were far-reaching - I'll try and taste the seeds and collect the seeds. I really wanted to keep up with him. But, alas, disappointed in taste. Beautiful, but they seemed to me watery and like a tomato taste in them, in my opinion, was not enough. The neighbor praised his tomatoes (planting them from year to year, collecting seeds himself, growing seedlings himself), enumerating, how many cans of all goodness they with the wife prepare for the winter, but, to tell the truth, it's not so very interested. For myself, I have already decided that I will not collect the seeds from his tomatoes.

It so happened that on that day I visited my former classmate. We, women, like to "scratch the tongues" and I talked to her about the taste of neighbor tomatoes, and she has a guest was a friend who silently listened to me and called to her, on her small garden plot near at home. I tore off a ripe tomato right from the bush and gave it to me to try.

Oh, to say that I swallowed the tongue from admiration - it's nothing to say. They were such sweet, sugar and fleshy! Sort of Delicious! I'm sorry that I did not make a single photo. Planting from year to year, she herself collects seeds, she herself grows seedlings. They talked... It turns out that she has some secrets of growing delicious tomatoes. Experienced gardeners are confident that some methods of caring for tomatoes will improve the taste of the fruit of any variety, that the taste of tomatoes is in full control of us.

The secrets of growing sweet tomatoes are few, they are all quite simple, and do not require special efforts.

.
.

The most important secret - and not a secret at all. Wherever you plant the seedlings, there must be a lot of light, so it's better to plant in sunny places on the south side.

And this section should be protected from the wind.

Tomatoes do not like crowded.

Water them not often, but abundantly. She pours them 2 times a week, but so that the water in the holes for a long time. Everyday watering can lead to the fact that tomatoes will become watery, and therefore less sweet.

Here are some more tricks: at the moment of blossoming tomatoes they must be watered with a solution of potassium permanganate - 2-3 g dilute in 10 liters of water, pour under each bush. Water for irrigation should only be stationary, preferably even heated to + 20-22 ° C.

Of course, tomatoes need to be fertilized, but the schedule for this must be tricky!

The first fertilizing is carried out until the ovary is formed - at the stage of tying buds. Then we need to make a break!

And when the ovary is formed, feed the second time. Fertilizers introduced at these times will only benefit tomatoes!

Try to feed tomatoes with self-made "green fertilizer".

..
- the best fertilizer is difficult to offer!
..

If in watering water add 2-3 drops of iodine per 10 liters and water this solution at least once a week, then the tomatoes will grow large, fleshy, and ripen before.

For the sugar content of tomatoes, you can still use this method: once the tomatoes get fat, feed them with a solution of wood ash - 1 glass per 10 liters of water. It will be enough to pour everything, liters of solution under each bush.

And yet, the tomato must ripen and mature in the bush, then it will taste better!

My trucker also advised me to use mixed planting. If you plant on a tomato patch of basil bushes (a row - tomatoes, a row of basil), then the fruits of tomatoes will be unusually sweet.

By the way, basil has a favorable effect not only on tomatoes, but also on peppers too - they grow better and increase sweet, juicy fruits.

That's all the secrets. Not complicated, right?

I'll try them out in action this year and I advise you!

For your reference: Delicious variety is one of the very famous large-fruited varieties. The bush is tall, medium-sized. Tomatoes are round, orange-red, fleshy, tasty, equally large, 300-400 grams all, resistant to cracking, medium maturity.
