Initially, he planted seeds from the company SeDek, and this year he had already grown tomatoes "Yablonka Russia" from his seeds. Why do I focus on the seed producer? I carefully read the characteristics of the variety on the package.

I want to make some adjustments. Description varieties Yablonka Russia on the package is not quite true. Originator assures that the height of the tomato bush is from 1.1 m to 1.3.But my uncle has bushes, that the first year, that in the second, they swept up to 2.3-2.5 m. Perhaps this is the only discrepancy. But, nevertheless, the variety Yablonka Russia is really worthy of attention. I'll try to convince you.

Tomato Yablon'ka of Russia - characteristic, description of the variety

These are early ripe tomatoes: the time period starting from the moment of germination and ending with the harvest of already ripe fruits lasts about 120-140 days. It is usually called the "tomato for the lazy", since this variety does not need any special care. It does not require regular removal of stepsons, forming bushes. Tomatoes "Yablonka Russia" have high yields, are resistant to diseases, can be grown on the site, in the greenhouse.

To the list of advantages, you can add high taste characteristics of fruits, their density( not prone to cracking), suitability for long-term storage, transportation. The number of tomatoes from one bush can reach 80-100 pieces, they are excellent for preservation, squeezing juice, all sorts of dishes, sauces. On the brush are usually tied from 6 to 8 tomatoes, which ripen evenly. This variety perfectly manifests itself in a warm climate, grown through seeds and seedlings, like all tomato cultures.

Tomatoes Russia’s Apple trees love loamy soil, organic top dressing, sunny areas, no drafts. If you make a large distance between the bushes, the yield will be much higher. Since my uncle is a lover of experiments, he planted tomatoes rather thickly on a couple of beds - no more than 30 cm between the bushes. At the same time, the number of fruits on the branches turned out to be much smaller than that of the neighboring bushes growing on other ridges, where the distance between the seats was 50 or even a few more centimeters. In these tomatoes, the fruits on the hands are of a large size, and the side shoots( stepchildren) are full-fledged ovaries( moreover, he broke off the very first stepsons).Their height reaches 2.5 meters, the fruits look great - juicy, saturated red color, round like balls, sweet, with a slight sourness.

The tomatoes themselves seem to be made for conservation: even, medium-sized, no especially large fruits, as well as small “peas”.It is noteworthy that even now( late August), the bushes are continuing an active period. It is safe to say that throughout September, fresh tomatoes will be for sure. But remember, we live in the Kuban, other regions - other terms.

The secret of this yield is simple - the uncle treats the tomatoes with Bordeaux mixture, feeds them with almost fresh manure( but not rotted) with straw litter. The waste products of ducks, chickens, and nutria are not stale for a long time, but are rather thickly laid out between rows of beds.

Growing and planting

You can pre-treat the seed with a weak pickle solution of potassium permanganate or Ecosil diluted water. Tomato seeds are sown in fertile soil around the beginning of March. After the emergence of seedlings, the formation of a couple of leaves of the seedlings should be transplanted into separate cups. Like any varieties, the seedlings of Yablonki Russia are recommended to be tempered - somewhere in April, from time to time to take out for an hour and a half to fresh air( on the balcony or on the street, if you live in a private house).

From about the second week of May, tomato saplings can be transferred to the beds, by which time they should be about 2 months. This variety is extremely undesirable to plant in those places of the site, where previously grew potatoes or eggplants. The reason for this is the risk of infection with late blight, the rudiments of which can remain in the ground for several years. But where carrots, cabbages, legumes, onions, or garlic grew. Russian apple trees can be planted calmly.

The process of planting begins with digging dimples, it is better that there is 50-60 cm between them. To saturate the soil with nutrients, you can put a little rotten manure into each well, then pour it, sprinkle it with earth. After that, you can deepen a tomato seedling along with an earthy clod, sprinkle with soil, press down a little at the edges, water well. Sometimes you can find recommendations for covering young seedlings with a film or spunbond to help tomatoes adapt to a new place. You can also do this if you see fit, but, as practice shows, without these actions, Yablonka Rossiya also survives well, bears fruit.

Tomatoes variety Yablonka Russia - how to care?

The first dressing is best done two weeks after disembarkation. I wrote a little higher on how my uncle feeds tomatoes. Also a very good feed is a strong infusion of dandelions or nettle( on water), you can add mint or valerian with leaves and flowers to it. Such herbal infusions after cooking should be diluted with water( 1 liter of infusion for 1.5 buckets of water) and used for feeding the roots. They improve the growth of bushes, increase resistance to diseases, scare garden pests.

Tomatoes “Yablonka Rossii” respond well to fertilizer with wood ash, which is brought under the roots about once every two weeks( after the first feeding).Tomatoes are very fond of mulching, mowed grass or even weeds are well suited for this purpose. The essence of mulching is to create the necessary microclimate, preserving moisture in the soil. Thus, all nutrients under the influence of increasing temperature go straight to the root system of tomatoes.

When the bushes gain strength, will actively grow, they need to start to tie up. For these purposes, it is recommended to use strips of soft cloth or soft( hemp) rope. In this variety, the fruits ripen at the same time, they can be removed from the bushes, both green and ripe.

In this photo you can see the actual height of the bushes of tomatoes - at least 2.30 m( the height of the trellis itself is 2 m), which is much higher than that indicated on the seed bag. The uncle planted these tomatoes at the beginning of May, note that there are still almost no dry, yellowed leaves on the bushes. The date on the photo is correct.

Due to its unpretentiousness, high-yielding, disease resistance, the tomatoes Yablonka Russia represent a real find for summer residents - for beginners or experienced gardeners.
