Domestic light industry, when working with fluff of water birds prefers a white feather, which is due to certain technological operations. Representatives of the described breed of ducks are leaders in supplying the feather for a heater in knitwear, together with the White Moskovskaya.

The temperament of the duck agidel makes it possible to ensure its content, both in pens and grazing, without losing any indicators of the resulting carcasses. The idea of ducks as constantly screaming and rushing around the yard or pen, in search of food, can destroy this breed. Calm behavior, measured movement and transition to a cry only in case of danger add to them nobility. The absence of excessive fuss makes it possible to more efficiently absorb feeds and bring the greatest possible increase in weight in a short time.

The presence of a reservoir will be an advantage for keeping and breeding ducks. In the case of his absence, you do not need to be upset. Agidel perfectly lives and without a pond, but in this case it is necessary to provide access to water during the day, and for young animals and at night.

Duck agidel

The work of breeders in working with these ducks was aimed not only at improving meat and egg production, but also on resistance to diseases and infections by individuals. The result achieved by scientists allows us to talk about the breeding of this bird, both in industrial and in personal scale. Given the rapid weight gain and the high coefficient of spent feed per kilogram of growth, many made an economically sound conclusion about the desirability of working with an agidel.

Why ducks go waddling? This fact is due to wide webbed feet. In order not to step on one another the duck is forced, leaning on one paw, to carry the other, rolling over the whole body.

Duck Characteristics

Ducks of the rock agidel are characterized by a fast set of weight. With proper nutrition and favorable conditions of maintenance at 6 weeks, the drake's weight is, on average, a kilogram for drake and, 5 for a duck. Overexposure of the poultry for a week from this control point will result in an indicator, 9 for the male and, 6 for the female. Further maintenance does not lead to a significant increase in weight, the feather grates. Justified the long content of the heads involved in breeding herd.

Feed consumption may vary from a large number of indicators and conditions, but according to data large producers and forums of owners of household plots containing this duck, this indicator is nearto, 5 kilograms of feed per 1 kilogram of growth. The increase in this figure was mainly due to the unscrupulousness of the poultry farms selling A3 (broiler) line A5 (egg) under the guise of line A3. According to this indicator, the agidel refers to broiler breeds of ducks.

For a private farmstead, a very important characteristic of a particular breed is the natural safety of the livestock during the period of full maturation. Ducks of the Agidel breed are one of the highest among these birds. The safety for the period from birth to 6 weeks is 9,%, not significantly decreasing over the period 0-7 months to 9,%. This is an additional argument in the choice of birds of this breed.

For a breed that is considered to be broiler, andgidel has good egg production rates. A duck can carry between 225 and 260 eggs, depending on the cross line. Do not forget that the higher the egg-laying of your bird, the lower will be the boundary weight and the higher the feed consumption for growth. Egg is large, with a properly formed oval.

The weight is usually from 77 grams in the egg and up to 95 grams in the broiler line. It becomes obvious that the total weight of eggs in two lines during the productive period will be the same. Considering the greater consumption of food on the egg line of the cross, we obtain confirmation that the agidel is a meat breed of ducks.

Given the specific characteristics of ducks, it is prohibited to eat raw eggs. But they make especially delicate and delicious confectionery products made of dough, giving it a special color and aroma.

The use of duck eggs in home cosmetology was known to our grandmothers. With oily skin, our older generation, fought with the protein of these wonderful eggs. This is due to its properties tighten the skin, narrow the pores and clean the shine. Yolk has a miraculous effect on the growth and restoration of hair, nourishes the dull and brittle hair. The whole duck egg is a frequent component of the mask for combination and dry skin.

Breeding and growing of the breed

The first question when deciding to breed ducks is the use of an incubator or the introduction of a hen. Since this duck is bred by crossing different breeds and crosses, the growing of new offspring is more profitable from the incubator.

It should be noted thatin these birds the index of fertilized eggs reaches 94%. The withdrawal of ducklings from hatching eggs remains at the level of 80% and can be attributed to the shortcomings of this breed. There are no special requirements for incubators.

To minimize losses at this stage it is sufficient to fulfill the following recommendations:

  • Choose eggs for masonry, carefully examining them. They should be as fresh as possible and without visible cracks, deflections or cones, uniform on the surface of the shell.
  • Carefully follow the maintenance of the temperature regime. The experience of many poultry farmers allows us to talk about the next temperature change depending on the period of eggs in the incubator:
    Period temperature
    1-14 days 3, +/
    15-21 days 3, +/
    22-26 day 3, +/
  • Turn the eggs in the incubator at least 10 times a day, preventing the embryo from sticking to the shell and its fading.
  • In the first week, keep the humidity in the incubator 60-70%, then reduce to the output to 45%. At the beginning of pecking ducklings, increase the humidity to soften the shell.
  • Cool the egg at least twice a day. Maintain the same intervals, the duration of 10-30 minutes.

After the withdrawal of the ducklings, take care of the temperature and lighting conditions. For the first time, the days of life should be round the clock. Gradually reduce its intensity, rather than the number of hours of operation.

Ducks are birds with intensive metabolism and night meals for them are common. Access to water is necessary all the time, for the young the design of the drinker should prevent splashing. Dryness of the litter pledge health and improve the survival of ducklings.

Power is better to produce with the help of ready-made mixtures or crushed grain, gradually adding to the diet greens, whole grains and corn cobs and sunflower. Agidel is a breed of ducks, which prefers grain to suckers and mixtures. If you need to switch to another type of feed, do not do it abruptly. For some time, 4-7 days, feed with both feeds, after which, gradually, remove unnecessary feed. The main requirement for feeding ducks is its balance and the presence of the whole complex of vitamins and minerals.

The most significant achievement of breeders in the derivation of this breed was its immunity to many diseases characteristic of most ducks.A leukemic group of diseases is a scourge for many subsidiary farms that breed ducks.

But ducks are susceptible to diseases: Mulard, Peking and musky ducks.

Agidel - the duck is not susceptible to these diseases. The main signs of the disease of an individual are a decrease in motor activity, a refusal from food and water, and lowered wings. If such a duck is identified, isolate it from the common herd and carefully observe other birds. Address to the veterinarian in the shortest terms. This will help to identify the nature of the disease, and prevent the death of the rest of the pack.

Rasklev and plucking feathers in ducks are rarely associated with infectious or other diseases. This phenomenon causes a lack of vitamins and trace elements in the diet, unsatisfactory living conditions (crowding, mud, damp room, dirty bedding). Preventing a bird's disease is easier than treating it - it's the golden rule of a poultry farmer.
