Cabbage rolls are considered an oriental dish and represent a stuffing wrapped in cabbage leaves. Most often prepare a meat filling. But there is also a vegetarian variety - vegetable cabbage rolls. Here also we will consider three delicious recipes for preparing culinary food.
Vegetable variation
We offer a detailed recipe of vegetable cabbage rolls with a step-by-step photo. The secret of the dish is in the vegetables themselves. They should be fresh, not contain a lot of moisture and excellent fry.
If desired, you can use Savoy cabbage instead of white cabbage.
For the preparation you need: forks Savoy cabbage, two onion heads, two root crops of parsnip, carrots, parsley and celery. In addition, 2-3 ripe tomatoes are required, rice in an amount of 3 tbsp. l., two onion heads, 1-2 garlic cloves, and 1-2 pods of Bulgarian red pepper. For cooking, take the vegetable oil. As for the spices, then you can use everything that you like: nutmeg, coriander, ground pepper, sugar.
Start cooking:
- Rice boil in salt water until cooked. After thoroughly rinse and leave in a colander, to allow water to glass.
- Wash vegetables, peel and send to cold water. This will protect you from darkening. Cut the root vegetables into cubes.
- Pour vegetable oil on the pan, heat, lay the cut vegetables and fry until soft.
- Peel the onion head and cut into cubes. Similarly, do with pepper, only it should be cleaned of seeds. Lay the onion and pepper on the vegetables and fry. Do not cover the frying pan. Cook until the moisture evaporates.
- Add the rice, passed through the press garlic, spices, salt and mix thoroughly.
- Cover the pan with a lid, boil for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat and cool.
- Remove the leaves from the cabbage fork. They do not need scalding in this case. For each sheet put a little stuffing and twist the bluefin.
- The onion head is peeled, cut into strips and fried in vegetable oil.
- The recipe for vegetable cabbage rolls assumes the use of only the flesh of tomatoes. Therefore, remove the peel from the tomato, pull out the seeds, and flesh the pulp. Pour to the onion in a frying pan, add a little nutmeg, h. l. sugar and stew for 10 minutes, covered with a lid, until the onion is soft.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the cabbage rolls on it until it rustles.
- Pour the tomato sauce and simmer for a quarter of an hour on a small fire.

Marinated cabbage rolls with carrots in Korean style
Cabbage rolls can be served to the table not only as an independent dish, but also as a snack. How do you like the filling of Korean carrots? With a little keenness they are so good that they are eaten in a matter of minutes.
You can prepare the filling yourself from carrots and special spices. But, if you do not have time or desire, you can use the ready-made Korean carrots.
To prepare marinated cabbage rolls and carrots in Korean, one fork of white cabbage and, kg of carrots, will be needed. Marinade is prepared from a liter of water, vegetable oil, vinegar and sugar (3 tbsp. l. of each ingredient), 2 tbsp. l. salt and 2 laurushki. You can use spices intended for making carrots in Korean style (to taste).
All quantities are indicated approximately, you can safely change them to your taste.
Stages of preparation cabbage rolls:
- Peel carrots and grate them for cooking Korean carrots. Add salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar, butter and garlic, passed through the press. Mix thoroughly and leave for 40 minutes.
- Prepare cabbage, boil it in boiling water.
- Remove cabbage leaves.
- With the leaves cut off the hard parts, and then divided into 2-3 parts.
- For each fragment, put carrot stuffing.
- Turn the sheet "kulechkom."
- Put the rolled cabbage rolls in a deep container.
- Now marinade. For it, pour water into the container, boil it, add sugar, salt, vinegar and vegetable oil. In addition, you can add mustard grains, coriander, laurel.
