Each item has a label designation. These conventional signs allow the owner to understand how to take care of clothes. Usually the sign indicating the washing mode is indicated first. Decrypting it, you will understand how to properly erase a thing: in the typewriter or by hands, in order to avoid premature wear and tear. Such icons for washing regimes you can see on the children's and adult clothes.

If you see such a sign on the label, then you can safely send the item to the drum of a styalki or wash it by hand. Usually typical for synthetic things.

Handwash. Products made from demanding to care products are washed on low-temperature cycles, not more than 40 degrees. Hand washing should be performed carefully, without strong impact and wringing.

A rectangle with a bar at the top also means that machine washing is prohibited (see the photo above, Fig. 3)

Dry cleaning. Traditional and hand washing is prohibited - contact a specialist to avoid spoiling the fabric. Most often, such a symbol can be found on the label of coats, suits, dresses.

The symbol means that the clothes are washed at minimum temperatures - no higher than 30 degrees. Requirement for spinning: minimum speed.
Spinning and intensive washing are contraindicated. The temperature barrier of water is a maximum of 30 degrees.
Machine wash is not prohibited, but the maximum temperature mark is 40 degrees.
Also, washing at 40 degrees, with a reduced spin speed.
Washing only at 40 °. In this case, you can use washing powders with a neutral composition.
The temperature of 95 degrees means that you can boil your clothes. Feel free to choose the maximum temperature regime if you need to remove strong contaminants or disinfection.

Bleaching icons

The second symbol on the tag after washing, explains how to conduct the whitening. In order not to spoil things, do not ignore these designations.

Sign "Do not bleach!". Crossed out triangle - it is forbidden to bleach, especially chlorine-containing substances.
Clothing is allowed to bleach. In this case, the process should not occur at high temperatures, necessarily complete dissolution of the powder.
Black triangle with parallel strips - bleaching is allowed without chlorine.

Badges, how to dry things

Next in order is an icon that indicates how to properly dry the product: in an upright position, spreading on the surface or in the drum of the machine (if there is such a function).

Finding such a designation on the label of your clothes, refuse drying at all.
The vertical strip in the box schematically explains that it is best to provide vertical drying.
In this case, it is advised also to dry things upright, but at the same time it is worth avoiding push-ups - water should flow arbitrarily.
A horizontal strip in a square means that things are recommended for leveling on the surface: a table or an ironing board (so they will retain their size and shape).
Similarly to the sign of vertical drying. With this symbol it is forbidden to wring out things and it is shown to dry them in a form straightened on a horizontal surface.
A square with a vertical strip and a line in the corner does not prohibit vertical drying. It is only necessary to protect things from the effects of direct sunny things (an ideal place - in the fresh air or on the balcony, in the shade).
Drying passes without spinning in an upright position. Requires protection from sunlight.
A square with a horizontal bar and a strip in the corner is prescribed for horizontal drying. In addition, it is necessary to protect clothing from sun exposure.
One of the most demanding characters, prohibits spinning, hanging (drying only in the horizontal plane) and the impact of direct sun rays.
Today, this symbol is almost not used. Means the vertical drying of laundry.
The product can not be dried.
It is not permissible to overdry the laundry, so the maximum drying temperature is 60 degrees.
Dry boldly at a temperature of up to 80 degrees.

The "P" in the circle is recommended for extremely dry cleaning. You can use the means with tetrachlorethylene and other substances for the symbol "P".
Dry cleaning with hydrocarbons with a boiling point of 150-210 degrees. The ignition temperature is 38-60 degrees.
The sign "P" and "F"In a circle - for the use of funds with chlorine ethylene, hydrocarbon, perchlorethylene. Clean it gently, with little use of water.
The letter "W professional aqua-purist (wet).
Only a delicate wet cleaning. If there are two bars under the sign, then a very delicate cleaning is envisaged.

Recommendations for the care of clothes

Synthetic and semisynthetic fabrics.For modal, viscose is recommended to wash manually at low temperatures not more than 40 degrees. Mild detergents are used. Shrinkage is possible by 4-6%. For polyester, elastane, polyamide, Lycra, the machine wash temperature is 40 degrees. When ironing, the iron should not be too hot.

You might have noticed that a piece of cloth is attached to some products. What is it for?

  2. Shrinkage. Measure the shred. Dip for 30 minutes in warm water. After drying again measure and calculate the difference.
