bowl care The main removable multicooker part is the bowl. This part of the device is constantly polluted and requires careful maintenance. The method of washing the multicooker bowl depends on the material from which it is made. Make them in one of two possible options:

  • from aluminum;

  • stainless steel.

Both materials are durable and poorly exposed to any external influences, so it would seem that there should be no contraindications to washing in the dishwasher. It should take into account the type of coating bowl: it is non-stick, so damage a thin layer is easy. High water temperature, abrasive components in detergent composition can cause significant damage to the non-stick properties of the bowl. Therefore, it is recommended to wash it in manual mode.

This should be done carefully, based on the type of coating material:

  1. The teflon coating can collapse at a temperature rise, so before you wash the bowl, completely cool it. To wash only soft sponges and not abrasive detergents.
  2. Ceramic coating is unstable before mechanical impact, so abrasive brushes should be postponed. Means "anti-grease" and a soft foam sponge are best suited to handle a dirty bowl, remove leftover food and fat.

In addition to the bowl in the crock-pot, there are many other details, therefore, we will consider further how to handle them in order to keep titanic efforts clean.

Processing of parts of the multicooker: in the dishwasher or manually

Each element requires an individual approach from the user. Consider ways to care in the table.

Detail Care method
Bottom You can clean the bottom of grease and other contaminants that are formed due to condensation inside the case using wet wipes. Before rubbing the bottom, remove crumbs and hard food grains from the surface that may scratch the materials.
Heating Plate It must always be kept clean and free from moisture. To clean the heater from dirt, use ordinary soda - dissolve it in water and soak a cloth in the solution. Wash away any residual moisture with a dry cloth or sponge.
cover Wash away grease stains from the cover with a microfiber cloth. In this case, the use of liquid or gel for washing dishes.
The condensate collector The moisture collecting tank is removable, so it is enough to rinse it periodically with water from the tap, without using detergent.
Steam valve It is enough to rinse the removable valve once a week with warm water. Use a grease disintegrator to clean the mesh.

Wipe the multicooker case with an ordinary damp cloth, remembering to de-energize the equipment.

What can be washed in PMM

The manufacturer applies a lot of useful accessories to the slow cookers and pressure cookers, as well as the housewives buy them separately if necessary. Whether parts can be washed in a dishwasher depends on the materials from which they are made.

  1. Removable plates and rings: silicone or plastic.
  2. Steamer: metal or plastic.
  3. Measured containers and jars for making homemade yogurt: glass or plastic.
  4. Fryer, as a rule, metal.
  5. Spatula, ladle or tongs: plastic, metal or combined.

The listed accessories can be safely loaded into the dishwasher bin. Plastic, metal or glass will not be damaged by the action of water or potent detergents. Silicone parts can also be sent to PMM.

Important! The only accessory that is cleaned from burnt food by hand is a fryer: this way you will have a better chance of qualitatively washing it off of traces of fat.

So, everything that is not removable and is inside the multicooker, it is better to handle manually, and removable elements, including a double boiler, measuring container, blades, etc., can be sent to the PMM bunker. Regarding the bowl, decide for yourself, remembering that a fragile non-stick coating may suffer, and the price of a new bowl comes to half the cost of a new device.
