One of the most important criteria for choosing a heater is safety. This is especially true when buying a heating device for a children's room. In this case, modern heaters that do not burn air are ideal.

Air quality directly depends on the type of heater. The level of combustion of oxygen from exposure to heat rays can be increased, which negatively affects human health (especially the child).

Oxygen is burned by those heaters that have an open spiral (electric and gas heat guns), fan heaters or heating element (heaters, the spiral of which is wound on a ceramic base), open flame (fireplaces). Such devices burn not only oxygen, but dust particles that fall on them, which provokes the release of toxic gases.

In place of classical heaters, heaters have come, which have a number of advantageous functions. Some holidaymakers still use old heaters, at the risk of being under the influence of their negative impact.

Modern trends in the production of heating appliances either completely eliminate the combustion of air, or burn a low percentage of it. What kind of heaters do not burn oxygen?

There are several models that are recommended for heating the premises of a house or villa:

  • Convector.
  • Infrared.
  • Ceramic.
  • Oily.

Convector heaters. Due to the presence of a built-in radiator, electric convectors do not burn oxygen at all. The principle of its operation is based on heat transfer: the passage of cold air from the room through the lower grate air intake, then the air passes through the heated radiator and comes out already warmed up to a predetermined temperature. Fans do not have convectors - warm air comes out of it naturally, without disturbing the balance of room humidity. The body of the convector remains unheated.

It should be noted that an excellent sign of the environmental friendliness of the heater is the slow heating. If the air temperature in the room begins to rise sharply, this may indicate a violation of the balance of humidity, which is not important for health.

Infrared heaters. These heaters do not dry the air as well as convectors. But according to the principle of action, they differ from each other. When the infrared heater is in operation, the air, not objects, is heated up. Then the room is heated from them. There are long-wave heaters (mikatermicheskie, ceramic panel, air conditioning) and short-wave (lamp, ceramic infrared systems). The rays of the infrared heater are not able to burn a person and the environment, because in terms of heaters they are optimal and inexpensive.

Ceramic heaters. If we talk about ceramic models, then it should be noted that they have a closed heating element, due to which such heaters do not dry the air. The heating element itself is hidden in a ceramic shell, which is much more neutral with respect to oxygen than any other metal surface. The air will not oxidize, which will help maintain its moisture content.

To increase heat transfer, the so-called finning (creating a relief surface) is used. Due to this, the surface of the ceramic heater is not very hot. This principle of heat removal and prevents the oxidation of air, and hence its drying.

Oil heaters. The principle of the oil heaters is based on heating the oil, which is inside and creates the necessary temperature regime. But they are the most insecure and uneconomical. To warm up it does not take long, but it consumes a fairly large amount of electricity (up to 3 kW / h). When the device is heated, its housing also warms up. If you are not careful, you can get burns, because it is strictly forbidden to leave it unattended, for fire safety purposes. The oil heater does not burn oxygen, it can be used in a room for operational heating.

Heater selection

Homeowners and gardeners who have faced the problem of choosing a heater, recommend purchasing modern infrared heaters. It is this heating principle, at the moment, which is the most effective. There are types and models more expensive, there are also cheaper. But they all boil down to the main indicators - the gradual heating and saving of normal air humidity.

Choosing a heater, you need to pay attention to reliable and proven brands. These include products produced by UFO, AEG and the international holding company Polaris. A wide range of models will allow each person to choose the right products.

During the purchase of the heater, you should pay attention to a number of additional qualities and functions. It is also necessary to attach great importance to the safety of the device (the presence of protection against voltage drop, thermostat, grounding).

Throughout the entire period of the device's use, it is necessary to fulfill the basic requirements for its operation, then it will last for no time and for long.
