The main reasons for the lack of drainage in washing machines
To understand why the machine does not drain the water, you must first understand how the process of pumping water out of the tank. Here the main device is a water pump (pump), which is the engine on which the impeller is mounted. When the motor rotates, water flows through the hose into the sewer. It can be assumed that the absence of a drain is caused by a breakdown in the pump. However, in practice, there are many other reasons why the machine does not work. Which ones?

Software failure and electronic module
It happens that the machine stopped working with the intermediate or the last pressing process. In this case, you can try to stop the program: just pull the cord out of the outlet and start the process again. If the result is negative, the program is interrupted by means of the buttons: it is necessary to try to turn on the rinse and spin.
During washing, linen and clothes (especially woolen) can leave threads and nap in the machine. In addition, it often happens that in the pockets are some small items. A modern machine sends the used water to the sewer system through a filter. It protects the sewer from clogging, and on the other hand, it "saves" the things forgotten in the pockets, leaving them in the unit.
Filter clogging is the most common cause of no draining. Normally, when the filter is clogged, a corresponding signal appears on the control panel. Read the instructions, for sure there is detailed information on what to do in such cases.If the washing machine does not drain the water, then the filter will have to be removed (usually it is located at the front bottom).
In different models, the panel that closes the filter opens in different ways. What to do to remove it:
- Unscrew the screw and slide the panel sideways (BOSH);
- Use a flat screwdriver to turn special hooks 90 degrees (old BOSH models);
- move the upper, then lower latches (ARISTON or INDESIT);
- just press your hand;
- use a knife or a flat-blade screwdriver to open it.
Cleaning, filter replacement
Before opening the door, place the floor under it with rags (a little water will flow out). Opening the hatch, you will see the filter itself, which is tightly screwed into the landing socket through the rubber gasket. Next, you will see the handle that you want to turn counter-clockwise. Usually it can be done with difficulty. The reasons are obvious: if the filter was not previously wrung out, then it sticks to the rubber gasket, so the washing machine does not drain the water.
On some models this part is secured with additional screws. Examine the filter and thoroughly clean it of debris. If there is no debris, then the filter is not the reason for the lack of drainage.
It happens and this situation: after installing the cleaned filter in place, the drain does not happen anyway.In this case, pull out the filter again and light the lantern inside the hole: there you will see the impeller of the water pump. Try to scroll it with your hand. If the rotation is tight, then perhaps the thread is wound on the impeller. If the pump is clean, then there is a chance that it is out of order. If the pump is working, we continue to think how to drain the water from the washing machine and why it does not work.
How is the lack of a drain connected to some kind of hose? The fact is that this design is a kind of valve that does not allow pouring water out of the unit during washing. The hose itself is connected to the sewage system in the form of a loop; and its top should be above the tank of the machine (this should be remembered for installation). The height should be precisely maintained: if the hose is above the water level, the pump simply does not have enough power to pump the used water. You may have incorrectly installed the hose when moving the unit to another location, in which case an error will be displayed on the display.
To make sure that the machine does not drain from the hose, it must be disconnected from the sewer inlet, putting one end into the basin.Now start washing in the car, wait for a little water to enter into it, then turn on the drain mode. If the drain has started, it means that you just need to adjust the height of the upper hose attachment. If there is no water, it will have to be removed. Fastening the hose is simple - usually it's clamps that attach it to the nozzle of the tank, in which there is a water pump and filter. The process of separation is not complicated, but in some cases, to get to the connection point, you have to disassemble the machine.

After disconnecting the hose, make sure that it passes water. If necessary, it must be cleaned or replaced with a new one. Along the way, inspect the branch pipe - it can also be clogged. If all your efforts were in vain, you will have to call a master who decides whether to carry your unit for repair or a malfunction can be eliminated on the spot..
