There are so many fruits that from the outside, it seems as if the plant has fallen under a sudden snowfall. Although not all types of snowdrop have white fruits, the name is firmly attached to this spectacular shrub.
In its natural habitat, the plant was found in Central and North America. It belongs to the family "Honeysuckle".The snowberry miraculously survives in the urban area and carries air pollution. He is content with a scant amount of moisture coming from heaven to irrigate the earth. But getting into the hands of experienced gardeners, the plant is completely transformed, taking its place of honor in landscape design.

Each of them has up to 15 buds, stained in red, pink or white-green.
After successful pollination, succulent fruits are formed in place of the flowers. They are ellipsoidal or spherical in shape. Inside the berries are oval bones. In all species of snowdrop, the pulp of the fruit resembles grainy flakes of snow, glistening in sunlight. No matter how appetizing they are, you should not taste them. The consequences may be too serious, not only for children, but also for adults.
Despite the poisonousness of the plant, it is still considered an excellent honey plant. Therefore, in order to attract insects into the garden, it is possible to grow this particular shrub.
Snow-white wonder of nature
Consider a detailed description of the white snowberry, which is considered the most resistant shrub of all species of this plant. In its natural environment, it grows in such areas: coastal river meadows

White snowberry grows to about 150 cm. It has a beautiful rounded crown, which is formed from flexible and thin shoots. They are covered with foliage of rounded shape, painted in green. Along the entire length of the shoot are located racemes consisting of miniature light pink buds. Therefore, the plant has another name - snowberry carpus. Over time, in their place appear juicy berries in the form of balls, which remain on the branches until the next spring. The fruits serve as food for wintering birds such as grouse, pheasants and tits.

The charms of the snowberry
For the first time this type of shrub was found in the meadows of North America. It is characterized by thin, curving shoots that form a refined hemispherical crown. The outer side of the foliage of the snowberry is colored in dark green. And the back part has a grayish tint, which gives the plant a glamorous look. - Mather of Pearl( fruits of white color with pinkish shimmer);
- Amethyst( high frost resistance).
Each subspecies is distinguished by its compact size, spreading crown and high fecundity.

Refined bells of the ornamental shrub
Snowy hunter in its natural habitat grows in the western part of North America. Despite this, it is grown in the territory of middle latitudes. As the name suggests, some may think that the shrub grows only in a certain area. In fact, the western snowberry is also found in other areas of America. In its natural environment, it forms dense thickets on mountain slopes or near natural bodies of water.
The plant is characterized by a foliage of pale green color, which is covered from the back by a thick pile. In the middle of summer( July), the shrub begins to bloom with dense racemes. They consist of delicate buds of white or pinkish color. Soon in their place soft spherical fruits of the same color as the buds are formed.
Sheno Hancock - not only the wonderful name
This type of shrub derived, connecting two species, ordinary and small-leaved. The result is a snowdrop of Chenot Hancock, which has the following features:
- hemispherical bush 1.5 m high;
- dark green pubescent foliage;
- blooms with white bells;
- spherical berries with a lilac shade.
The plant is considered to be thermophilic, therefore it is cultivated only in areas with a temperate climate.
