Two types of device
For starters, note that there are two main types of blender:
- submersible (shredder is attached to the handle with the motor);
- stationary (with a bowl).
If you purchased a submersible blender, you can grind them products in virtually any capacity. It is very compact, multifunctional and allows for a few seconds to mash the boiled vegetables in mashed potatoes, whip the berries, chop the meat and much more. Such a blender is convenient to use, and it is simply indispensable if you often prepare smoothies, soups, mashed potatoes, mayonnaise and pâtés.
Stationary view requires a dedicated space in the kitchen, and you can not place more or less food in it than shown on the bowl marks. But the stationary blender does not need to be held in the hand, and it is always tightly closed with a lid, so it's very easy to work with it. It likes to prepare cocktails and sauces.
Let's take a closer look at how to use a blender of one and the second kind. They have a lot in common, but there are some differences. It will also be useful to learn how to properly blender and what to do in order to increase the life of the blender.
Submersible or hand blender
Manufacturers of most models advise using a blender to grind not too hard products. This means that crackers, coffee beans and frozen meat in the blender can not be ground. However, there is one secret. If a prescription requires you to achieve very small pieces of anything solid, such as celery or horseradish roots, you need to add a little liquid to the blender bowl.
Usually, a special bowl or glass is sold with the immersion blender, in which it is possible to load products. If you decide to use a different container, you have to remember that in the process of whipping and fine cutting, the spray will fly. Hence, the pan or bowl should be deep enough so that you do not stain everything around in the kitchen.
- The minimum level of products loaded into the blender must be such that they cover the bottom of the leg, which directly cuts.
- Do not use the appliance to grind too hot, freshly cooked products. It is necessary to wait until they cool, at least to 70-80 ° C.
- Before you can whip the fruit, you need to check if there are pits in them.
- If you do not know at what speed you need to work with a particular product, then start with a minimum, and then increase gradually.
- Do not try to cook potatoes from a potato on a blender, it will turn out to be tasteless, even if it's good to break.
If the model of your blender has a nozzle in the form of a whisk, it is used to whip the squirrels. A stationary blender can not boast of such possibilities. To achieve a strong whipping, such as a mixer, you will not succeed, but this will be enough to prepare a batter or a cocktail.
.Features of the use of stationary models
Now let's talk a little about how to use a blender, which is an integral design in which the bowl and the engine are interconnected.
Here everything is extremely simple. The product must be cut into cubes and covered in a bowl. After pressing the button, the knives that are in the bowl will be crushed to the desired size or will break. For such a blender in the kitchen should be allocated a special place.
- You can not load hot foods into the bowl because it will quickly lose transparency or turn yellow. Especially this caution applies to plastic materials.
- You can not load products under the cover itself, tightly fill or, on the contrary, throw a few pieces on the bottom, not reaching the required minimum.
- If you have a small family consisting of 2-3 people, then it will be enough for you to have a bowl for 1 liter.
Each blender manufacturer advises to use the device only after reading the instructions and it's not just words. Knowing the features of your model, you will better imagine what dishes can be cooked. As a result, you will use the device more.
Using different attachments
Each blender can have several baits. Often the question arises, which nozzles for which you can use.
.A submerged blender necessarily has a basic nozzle on the foot. She rubs fruit, greens, boiled vegetables and liver into mashed potatoes and mixes the products when preparing sauces.
.The kit can include a whisk for beating eggs and a bowl with a small knife-mill, which allows to grind nuts and grind meat and vegetables. Some models are equipped with interchangeable multifunctional nozzles, which allow you to cut pieces of different shapes. In this case, you have a real harvester in the kitchen.
Stationary blender can be equipped with a special nozzle, which allows to chop ice. If there is not such a nozzle, then the appliance should not be used for grinding frozen water or juice.
How to properly wash the blender after use
Any technical device requires cleaning, and a blender as well. The part in which the engine and the speed selector are located, it is necessary to wipe the top with a damp sponge. It is strictly prohibited to immerse it in water or put it in a dishwasher for obvious reasons.
The bowl and removable attachments (corolla, knives, discs) can be washed in running water, that is, under the tap. Some models the manufacturer does not recommend sending to the dishwasher, however in most cases it can be done, which greatly facilitates the process of cleaning the blender.
If fatty foods are crushed, you can use liquid detergent, and then thoroughly rinse the parts, wipe and dry. Clean and dry parts are collected and put the device in its place, so that they can be used at any time.
In some stationary models there is a function of self-cleaning (self-cleaning). It allows you to clean the device very quickly, efficiently and without problems. At the end of the procedure, you just need to pour out the water and wipe the device dry.
