How to make a beautiful stool with your own hands

Many people like stools - they are practical, comfortable and take up little space. The following describes the manufacture of stools of two types. Following the instructions, you can easily make chairs of this type in a couple of hours. All that is needed is a wooden board, nails or self-tapping screws, varnish on wood.

The stool is classic wooden hard. This view is good in that you can stand on it if you need to reach the upper shelf, for example. In addition, nothing bad will happen if you forget such a bench in the garden or in the yard and it will rain. Make it very easy.

Take a board 20-25 cm wide. Measure and mark two equal segments in the desired height of the stool, on average, people prefer a height of 25-35 cm.

Then measure out two more segments that are equal to each other and correspond to the desired width of the stool - it all depends on your desire, the width equal to 38-45 cm is considered the most convenient. One of these pieces must be cut in length, exactly in the middle.

It is more convenient to do this with a circular saw, but you can also do it manually - first draw an even line in the center with a ruler and pencil. Then cut along it. In principle, the most difficult is behind, and you just have to collect the details of the stool.

Place vertically the two segments that were cut first - these are the future legs. Cover the top with a single piece, you should get a design similar to the letter "P". To ensure that the angle remains flat, twist the parts with screws or hammer them together with nails. Now attach to the top of the two segments that were formed during longitudinal sawing. And screw them so that they, like a continuation of the seat, cover the legs from the end (from the top edge).

Walk with sandpaper on knocks and cuts to eliminate bumps, burrs and roughness, cover the finished stool with varnish and let dry.

Secret stool. Most often used inside the house, the uniqueness of such a sitting place is that under the seat there is a cavity for storing things. In addition to the board itself, you will need upholstery material and a synthetic winterizer.

You can make this stool in less than an hour. Measure the width of your board and multiply it by three. This will be the width of your future stool. Now measure this length and cut 14 such identical pieces of the board:

• three will go to the bottom - mark them with the letter "D";
• three - on the "seat" - mark them with the letter "C";
• eight - on the side walls, mark with the letter "B".

Now multiply by two the width of your board and measure out 4 pieces corresponding to this length - they are needed to give the structure strength and will serve as a frame. Mark them with the letter “K.”

Assembling a stool is not that difficult.

Take the boards with the letter "B" and, putting on the edge, fold two squares from them. Having twisted the elements with screws, put one square on the second, aligning the corners, on the inside of the wall attach a board (across) with the letter "K". Slide it to the right joint and screw it. Do the same with each of the four walls of the square.

Now we close one of the sides tightly with three boards with a booth “D”.

Turn over the received box. And screw the lid onto the furniture folding hinge - it needs to be knocked together from three boards marked “C”. When you screw the seat, you will already see the real size and type of stool, it remains only to sheathe it. Inside, sheathe using a stapler, leatherette or cloth. Outside, sheathe with padding polyester or cotton, and then the desired upholstery - velvet, leather substitute or other material.
