If you need to make some kind of large composition, it is best to choose the second option. Many people buy self-adhesive film for the bathroom. However, working with it is not very convenient, because there is a high probability of bubbles and bends. It needs to be pulled very tight to avoid defects, so small stickers are much more convenient.

If you decide to make a partial or full painting of the walls in the bathroom, you need to decide on a specific pattern, create or purchase special stencils that will stick to the tile. If ceramic paint is purchased, no special preparation is required anymore. And if ordinary paint is selected, then it is necessary to wipe the tile with fine-grained sandpaper and apply a special the primer, which will increase the adhesion, only after the primer has completely dried will it be possible to proceed painting.

Some run the risk of completely repainting the ceramic tiles. In this case, special attention should be paid to the tile joints, which are painted over with a separate brush. However, this method is not acceptable in every bathroom, because in places where a lot of steam accumulates, over time, the paint will begin to exfoliate from the tile. The longest continuous painting is kept near the washbasin, toilet and on the floor. Also, if desired, you can decorate the walls in the bathroom with special panels that are resistant to steam, they are mounted directly on top of the old tile. After cleaning and degreasing the surface, glue or liquid nails are spotted, the panels are pressed harder against the tile and held well enough.
