To start the petrol trimmer, you need to do the following:

  1. Close the air damper by sliding the lever.
  2. Switch on the ignition - for this you need to turn the key or the handle to the appropriate position.
  3. If the brushcutter has a manual fuel pump, press it 2–4 times until a combustible mixture appears inside the primer.
  4. Place the device on the ground. Press with your knee on the part where the motor is located and slowly pull out the starter handle until resistance appears (the so-called hook). It is necessary to ensure that the disc of the brushcutter does not come into contact with anything at the moment.
  5. Then, with a sharp movement, you need to pull the cord towards you 3-5 times.

When the trimmer is engaged, the throttle opens and locks in the middle position. It is worth waiting five minutes before operation - let the petrol cutter run at idle.

If it fails to start, you need to open the damper again. Otherwise, the candles will flood with fuel during subsequent movements of the cord. After that, start the engine 2-3 times with an open handbrake. If you still can't start, you need to close the damper and try a few more times.

A warmed-up engine starts up elementary: its switch is placed in the operating position. Well, then the cord twitches before the start.

Common mistakes that inexperienced owners often make are starting with the ignition off or jerking to start more than five times with the damper closed.
