How to start a petrol cutter: the correct start of the device

The operation of the petrol cutter must be carried out in compliance with certain safety rules and regulations. The launch of the device also requires knowledge of some nuances. We will tell you how to properly prepare for operation and start a petrol cutter.

Mandatory actions before starting the device

Preparation for starting the mower consists in checking the reliability of fixing all the elements and preparing the fuel mixture. As for the first, special attention should be paid to securing the cutting equipment. Petrol cuttersare usually very powerful, and have a high speed of rotation of the knife or disc. Insufficiently securely fixed blade, first of all, can injure the user. In addition, it increases vibration in the device, and this often leads to failure.

Petrol cutters are in most cases equipped with a two-stroke engine. Refueling it requires the preparation of a special fuel mixture.

These motors have no crankcase and no separate system for oil lubrication. The role played by these elements is assumed by the freshly prepared combustible mixture. By the way, and this is important to consider: the components are mixed per filling. It is impossible to dilute with a "reserve", but only fresh composition should be used.

Fuel consists of two components. This is oil and gasoline. Suitable fuel - AI-92, 93, 98. The proportions for mineral - 1:34, for synthetics - 1:50. You should familiarize yourself with the manufacturer's recommendations for oil viscosity. There are special products for two-stroke engines and it is with air cooling. Using untested or unsuitable options can lead to the failure of the streamer.

The mixture should be diluted in a separate clean container. Do not do this directly in the petrol cutter tank! Half the volume of fuel and all the oil are poured into the container. Then everything is mixed. Then the remaining fuel is topped up. Re-mixes. Now you can refuel!

This should be done by putting the tool on the ground: this way there is more chance that the liquid will not spill.

How to start a petrol cutter: procedure

To start the petrol trimmer, you need to do the following:

1. Close the air damper by sliding the lever.
2. Switch on the ignition - for this you need to turn the key or the handle to the appropriate position.
3. If the brushcutter has a manual fuel pump, press it 2–4 times until a combustible mixture appears inside the primer.
4. Place the device on the ground. Press with your knee on the part where the motor is located and slowly pull out the starter handle until resistance appears (the so-called hook). It is necessary to ensure that the disc of the brushcutter does not come into contact with anything at the moment.
5. Then, with a sharp movement, you need to pull the cord towards you 3-5 times.

When the trimmer is engaged, the throttle opens and locks in the middle position. It is worth waiting five minutes before operation - let the petrol cutter run at idle.

If it fails to start, you need to open the damper again. Otherwise, the candles will flood with fuel during subsequent movements of the cord. After that, start the engine 2-3 times with an open handbrake. If you still can't start, you need to close the damper and try a few more times.

A warmed-up engine starts up elementary: its switch is placed in the operating position. Well, then the cord twitches before the start.

Common mistakes that inexperienced owners often make are starting with the ignition off or jerking to start more than five times with the damper closed.

Do not launch indoors or in the same place where the equipment was refueled. High concentrations of toxic exhaust gases have a negative impact on human health.

Do not smoke while preparing or refueling the combustible mixture. It is forbidden to carry out these actions near open flames.

New equipment needs a “run-in”. You should not step on the gas abruptly. The first time it is necessary to work, making short stops, so that all the elements, as they say, are worn down and lubricated enough.
