Often, defects are associated with plumbing, low pressure. A description of common errors of the AEG e40 washing machine and other malfunctions is presented in this article.

E00

This is one of the most common failures. It is due to the fact that the unit does not collect water. In this case, no repair is required, since the machine itself is working normally, but there is no fluid supply. Most often, this situation occurs if there is no water. Another reason is the closed supply valve, it must be turned counterclockwise until it stops.

E20

If the AEG washing machine gives an e20 error, this is due to the inability to drain the water. In this case, washing is suspended, since there is no way to collect clean liquid. The main factors are:

• blockage in the sewer;
• pump failure;
• kink in the drain hose - it must be inspected along its entire length and carefully straightened.

Do not confuse the error e20 AEG with e21. They are similar, but differ in that e21 indicates a wider range of causes. They also indicate problems that make draining difficult or impossible.

In this case, the machine does not cope with rinsing and spinning the laundry, which is why it comes out with foam and wet. The reason is related to the drain hose. To solve it, you need to perform 2 steps:

1. See if it's in the right place.
2. If necessary, carefully remove kinks.
3. If the hose is clogged, you need to remove the blockage.

E40

Error e40 AEG is displayed on the screen simultaneously with 4 beeps or 4 blinks of the indicator. The causes of the malfunction are related to the following points:

1. The door is not completely closed - it must be pushed in until it clicks. Or just open and close again.
2. It also happens that a piece of clothing has fallen between the glass and the seal - it must be removed before starting the program.
3. If there is a lot of laundry in the machine, the AEG error codes will be similar, i.e. e40.
4. The child safety lock (if any) must be checked. It is switched using a coin or other flat object.

But if all the methods described did not help, and the errors of the AEG washing machine are repeated, the reason is related to the breakdown of the door lock. Then you need to call the master or do the repair yourself.

E03

In this case, the device drains the water, but it does it very slowly - 3 minutes or more. The problem is related to the drain hose, to fix it, proceed as follows:

1. Repair the contacts in the circuit, the elements of which are the control module and the drain pump.
2. Repair the control module board.

It also happens that the installation draws water too slowly - then the code E11 appears. The main reasons are:

1. The pressure level is low.
2. Water intake clogged.
3. Fill valve failure.

First you need to make sure that the water is supplied under normal pressure, it is in the water supply. Then check the supply valve - it must be fully open. If necessary, clean the filter on the pump, make sure that the water intake hose is clean. Finally, you need to inspect the filling valve, if necessary, repair the winding.

The machine may issue other codes, but they are less common. Sometimes the reasons can be quite serious, and repair is indispensable. In this case, it is recommended to contact a special center, since in the absence of skills, self-repair can lead to other breakdowns.
