Some mistresses for several reasons refuse to use purchased liquid dishwashing detergents, synthetic laundry detergents, gels and other household chemicals. Home-made cleaning products based on natural and readily available components come to replace them. How to make it? I will tell about it.
Household cleaning products for all occasions
There are a lot of recipes for making dishwashing detergent, they are all very diverse, but the vast majority is based on one very important component - sodium carbonate. Opponents of chemistry should not be afraid of this name at all, in common people sodium carbonate is ordinary soda ash.
What soda is valued for:
- Reduces water hardness, making it softer. This quality is especially good when using products based on it in automatic washing machines.
- Actively splits pollution, including fat.
- It has a polishing effect.
- Disinfects surfaces.
- Eliminates unpleasant odors, even ingrained.
Often, along with sodium carbonate in the same composition, ordinary mustard powder is used. As you know, this burning mixture copes with the destruction of bacteria, mold and pathogenic microorganisms.
Of course, you can wash it with pure powder, but it is much more convenient to use it as a component of household detergent.
Making homemade detergent
As you know, dishwashing gel often leaves a soap film on the surface, which is washed off quite hard. Moreover, the remnants of the gel can get inside the body with food, and this is not good.
For sound reasons, or in the absence of the opportunity to use the purchased detergent, it is possible to make a dish detergent with your own hands.
We will need:
- soda ash;
- mustard powder;
- laundry soap (you can use baby soap in the bars);
- warm water;
- container with lid for storage.
How to make a detergent with your own hands:
Picture | Description |
Step 1 Soap (about 20 g), grate and add a glass of hot water. We put on the fire, stirring. |
|
Step 2 We are waiting for the soap to dissolve, and slowly add about 1 liter of boiling water. Leave to cool the solution. |
|
Step 3 Pour soda into a warm solution and add the same mustard powder. Per liter of solution, you can add 2-3 tablespoons of each of the bulk ingredients. |
|
Step 4 When the resulting mass is cooled, it will look like a paste. It remains only to shift it to the storage container, and the home dishwashing detergent is ready. |
To avoid dry hands after daily use of such hand-made products, it’s enough use ordinary rubber gloves or after washing the dishes apply hand cream on your hands glycerol.
Home remedy 3 in 1: soap, shampoo and washing gel
A truly universal substitute for industrial household chemicals can be called a homemade gel of soap and soda. It can be used as a cleaning paste, and as a shampoo, or as a liquid laundry soap with your own hands.
We will need:
- household or baby soap;
- soda ash;
- hot water;
- essential oil (any);
- bottle with dispenser (you can use an empty bottle of liquid soap).
How to prepare the composition at home:
Picture | Description |
Step 1 Soap rub on a fine grater (as pictured) and pour boiling water. You can use small remnants. Periodically shake and mix so that the pieces dissolve completely. |
|
Step 2 If the solution is cold, it must be heated and add soda. The proportions are approximately as follows: 2 tbsp. tablespoons of soda for 1.5 liters of soapy water. Soap with soda cool to warm. |
|
Step 3 In a warm soapy soda solution add about 10 drops of your favorite essential oil, mix thoroughly and pour into a container with a dispenser. |
If the gel is frozen, it will look like jelly and can hardly pass through the dispenser tube. In this case, you can add a little warm water and shake.
Such a universal composition perfectly copes with the mission of shampoo, cleaning products for tiles and in general any surfaces. The gel can be used instead of phosphate laundry detergent at the rate of 0.5 cups per wash in an automatic machine.
It should not be afraid that the machine may break - it is absolutely safe tool, while soda softens the water, preventing the formation of scale.
Conclusion
Doing home remedies for washing and washing is a great solution for those who care about the health of loved ones and are not averse to saving the family budget. The effectiveness of "home chemistry" is not inferior to industrial analogues, although the flow is still much higher. But even in this case, it does not hit the wallet - all the ingredients are available in any store, and their price is very affordable.
Homemade natural cleansers are absolutely harmless even for children and do not cause allergies, so if there are allergies in the home, the use of such compounds is the best option for the whole family.
