Precautions

If you entered the room and saw water near the washing machine, do not enter in a puddle of .Try to reach and pull the plug out of the socket, disconnect the SMA from the network. If this is not possible, turn off the power to the panel.

To stop the flow of water, shut off its flow at the inlet valve of the washer. You can also turn off the water on the main tap in the apartment( house).Proceed as follows:

  • Open the small hatch at the bottom of the front panel.
  • Substitute the container and unscrew the filter, draining the remaining water from the tank.
  • Remove and unscrew all laundry.

Proceed to inspect equipment.

Why the AGR flowed

During the inspection, pay attention to where the water flowed from and at what stage of the program it happened.

  1. Water flows from the bottom, from under the feet of the washing machine. Leakage may be in the drain filter. Perhaps, you were turning the filter out before it was drained, and you noticed that it was not properly installed, or it was not fully tightened. Gently twist it to the end. If bolts are provided for your model, additionally fasten them in place.
  2. Out of the machine when typing water - this indicates a leakage of the filling hose. His attachments to the body of the machine could be broken, or the body of the hose was damaged, and he began to let in water.
  3. Water flows from the dosing tray during washing or during rinsing. Without timely cleaning, powder adheres to the walls of the tray, its opening becomes clogged and interferes with the normal flow of water into the tank.
Also the reason may be in strong water pressure. The inlet valve lets in a stream that washes the powder out of the dispenser. If the pressure is too strong, the water will pour out and flow through the body.
  4. If the machine is turned off, but you hear a rumble of water and see a leak, there is a problem in the fill valve. Stopping the intake of water, the valve closes the inlets with a membrane. Perhaps this membrane has been damaged, or the hose attachments from the valve to the bunker have moved.
  5. Luke SMA flows. Determine what the failure, help inspect the cuff hatch. If it is damaged, it began to pass water.
  6. Is the bottom leaking, does water flow out from the bottom of the body during the spin cycle? Most likely, the reason for the drain pipes and hoses. Mounting could be broken, because of what they began to flow. The same happens if the drain pump is damaged.

What you need to do and how to get rid of the problem, read below.

How to troubleshoot

To fix the problem, start inspecting all parts and assemblies of the washer. Before this, unplug the machine and turn off the water.

Replace the

inlet hose. The hose is attached to the CMA body at the rear. Inspect the mount: if it is loose, tighten the nut until it stops.

If you notice damage to the hose through which water flows, you should not repair it, it is better to completely replace it. For this:

  • Unscrew one end of the hose from the body.
  • Disconnect the other end from the tap.
  • Install the new item in the reverse order.

You can buy a hose in the plumbing shop. Pay attention to its length, it should not be too short.

Clean the dispenser and filling valve

. To clean the tray is simple:

  • Pull the tray towards you while pressing the latch in the center.
  • Thoroughly rinse it under running water, cleaning it from detergents.

To check the valve, remove the top cover of the washing machine. Remove the two bolts from behind. You will see that two hoses lead from the valve to the bunker( depending on the type of valve). They are fastened with clamps.

Look: if some mount is detached, you need to restore it. In case of damage, hoses are replaced.

Repair the hatch of the hatch

The sealing gum on the hatch additionally seals all the holes during washing. Over time, it can leak, aided by fungi and mold. Damage to the cuff during washing. These may be sharp objects that are not removed from the pockets.

What to do:

  • Open the hatch door.
  • Inspect rubber at the time of rupture.
  • If you notice a small gap, you can glue it with a special waterproof glue. Also used boat patches. To perform a high-quality repair, it is better to remove the cuff from the hatch.

Information on how to remove the rubber cuff can be useful if it is replaced:

  1. Remove the outer collar. Having bent a cuff, pry a collar with a flat screw-driver and remove.
  2. Fill the seal inside the drum.
  3. Disconnect the hatch lock wiring and unscrew its mounting bolts.
  4. Remove the top cover from the case.
  5. Pull out the dosing tray.
  6. Remove the control panel mounting bolts and disconnect it from the case.
  7. Remove the base panel. Now unscrew all the bolts holding the front panel.
  8. With the panel aside, disconnect the top and bottom hoses leading to the cuff.
  9. Remove the inner collar and the entire cuff from the tank.

If during the inspection it turned out that the damage to the rubber is too great, it is better to install a new element so that the accident does not happen again.

Replace the filling nozzle

To check the nozzle from the hopper to the tank, you also need to remove the front panel. If, when viewed on the tank, there are drips of water, then it’s the case in the pipe. Since it is attached to the tank with glue, disconnect the nozzle and dry.

To secure the hose, clean the joint. The element is fixed with epoxy or glue.

Check tank

Today washing machines are equipped with lightweight plastic tanks made of polymers. Therefore, a trifle forgotten in pockets or other objects can damage it. It happens that the heating element, overheating, is broken, as a result of its fragment damages the wall of the tank.

Before making a decision, you need to verify the malfunction:

  • Check the CMA tank for water leaks through the bottom. If they are found, the tank needs a replacement.
  • If your CM is vertically loaded, remove the side panel for inspection.

Temporary repair of the tank does not bring results. Anyway, over time, it will give a leak.

Another cause of leakage may be damaged sealing rubber, which is located at the junction of the two parts of the tank. In any case, it is necessary to completely disassemble the washer, replace or repair the tank.

Replace the

oil seal. When inspecting it, pay attention to the back. If the drips are visible from the side of the bearings, it means that the oil seal is worn out, or the lubricant has been washed out and needs updating.

Oil Seal protects bearings from moisture ingress. Therefore, when it is worn, the bearings also need to be replaced. To do this, buy a repair kit and special grease for oil seals in the store.

Check the drain pipe and pump

The drain pump can be located in the rear or in the front of the case:

  1. The front wall should be removed in the Bosch, AEG, Siemens models.
  2. Get to the pump through the bottom and remove the bottom panel - in the Samsung, Indesit, Ariston, LG, Ardo, Kandy, Virpul, Beko washers.
  3. Remove the back panel - in the Electrolux and Zanussi cars.

Examine the drain connection. In case of damage, change it to a new item. To do this, open the clamps with pliers, disconnect the nozzle from the tank and the pump.

You can inspect and replace the drain pump if damaged.

In the first case, ( access through the front wall), the pump is mounted on the cochlea. Unscrew its mounting bolts and remove the part. Separate the pump from the cochlea by unscrewing the screws around the perimeter and loosening the latches.

The second version of also includes a snail. Dismantling is carried out as in the first case.

In the third case, , disconnect the wires from the pump, unscrew the snail fasteners, take out the pump together with the nozzle and hose. Loosen the screw of the cochlea and release the clips.

After examining the various causes of breakage, we can conclude: always clean clothes from foreign objects before washing. Proper installation of the machine is also important, because strong vibrations lead to weakening of the hose fixings and leakage.
